Used Patterns
Stockinette stitch: in RS row – knit sts, in WS row – purls;
Garter stitch: all knit sts;
Wrong side: in RS row – purls, in WS row – knit sts;
Decrease: slip 1 st as knit st, 1 knit st, draw the slipped st through the knit st.
Stitches control: stockinette stitch: 21 sts x 27 rows = 10 x 10 cm.
Instructions
Back
Cast on 98; 104; 110; 116 sts with knitting needles 3,5 and make 5 cm with garter stitch (1st row – WS), finish with WS row. Turn to knitting needles 4 and make stockinette stitch (1st row – RS). Knit to 8 cm length. Make decreases for waist in the next row: 1 selvedge st, 1 knit st, knit2tog to the last 4 sts, knit2tog, 1 knit st, 1 selvedge st. Repeat the decreases at 12, 16, 20 cm. Continue knitting straight to 24 cm. Make increases from the next row: 1selvege st, 1 knit sts, 2 knit sts from 1 st to the last 3 sts, 2 knit sts from 1 st, 1 knit st, 1 selvedge st. Repeat the increases at 29, 34 cm. Totally, 96; 102; 108;114 sts.
Continue knitting straight to 42 cm. Decrease from both sides for the arm-holes: 1 selvedge st, 1 knit st, knit2tog to the last 4 sts, knit2tog, 1 knit st, 1 selvedge st. Repeat the decreases in every even row x 5;5;6;6 times for each side. Totally, 72; 76; 78; 82 sts. Then, knit straight until you get 19; 20; 21; 22 cm for the arm-hole. For forming neck-hole, bind off the central 26; 26; 26; 28 sts and finish each part separately. For smooth rounding, bind off 2 sts x 1 in every even row from the center, 1 st x 1. For nice shoulder chamfer, bind off 6,7,7; 7,7,8; 7,8,8; 8,8,8 sts in even rows.
Finish the second part in reflection to the first.
Left Front
Cast on 48; 51; 54; 57 sts and make 5 cm of garter stitch. Finish with WS row. Turn to knitting needles 4 and continue work with stockinette stitch (1st row – RS). In 8 cm, make decrease for the waist: 1 selvedge st, 1 knit st, knit2tog, 1 knit st. Repeat the decreases due to the same algorithm, as for back. Then, make the same increases, as you previously made for back. At the same time, at 18 cm long, make a pocket. For this, transfer 10; 11; 12 sts from the left side to the pin. Make pocket on the next 29; 29; 29; 31 sts. Transfer the rest 7; 9; 11; 11 sts to the pin.
Make pocket with stockinette stitch on 29; 29; 29; 31sts, increase 1 st from each side for the seam, so you should get 31; 31; 31; 33 sts. After getting 21 cm long pocket, finish with WS row. In this row, make the first and last pairs of sts as knit2tog. You should get 29; 29; 29; 31 sts again. At 42 cm height, decrease 5,2; 6,2; 7,2; 8,2 sts for the arm-holes in the beginning of RS rows. In the beginning of the next row, decrease: 1 selvedge st, 1 knit st, knit2tog, 1 knit st. Repeat the decrease in every even row x 5; 5; 6; 6 times. Totally, 35; 37; 38; 40 sts.
Continue knitting straight to the length of arm-hole is 12; 13; 14; 15 cm. After that, decrease 7,3,2,1,1,1;7,3,2,1,1,1;7,3,2,1,1,1;8,3,2,1,1,1 sts in the beginning of WS row for the neck-hole. At 19; 20; 21; 22 cm height of the arm-hole, decrease 6,7,7;7,7,8;7,8,8;8,8,8 sts along the outer edge for the shoulder.
Right Front
In reflection to the left front.
Sleeves
Cast on 76, 80, 84, 88 sts with knitting needles 3,5 and make 8 cm with garter stitch, finish with WS row. Change to knitting needles 4 and work with stockinette stitch for 17cm for the common size of the detail. Decrease 5,2; 6,2; 7,2; 8,2 sts from both sides. In the next row decrease for the sleeves cap: 1 selvedge st, knit2tog, 1 knit st to last 3 sts, knit2tog, 1 selvedge st. Make such decreases in evern rows x 11; 12; 13; 14 times. Totally, 40 sts. Bind off 2, 3, 4 sts in the beginning of each following row. Then, bind off the rest 22 sts at the same time.
Make the second sleeve in the same way.
Assembly
Sew up shoulders, sides and sleeves. Sew the pockets.
Left Front
Cast on 1 st from each row to circle needles 3,5, skip every 4th row. Make 12 rows of knit sts, bind off the sts.
Right Front
In the same way, as left front. Difference: make 7 button-holes in the 6th row. Technique: knit2tog, double yarn over, 2 knit sts from 1 st. In the next row make double yarn over as cross knit st.
Collar
Lift 94; 94; 96; 98 sts along the neck-hole line with circle needles and make 9 rows of knit sts. Bind off the sts.
Chest Pockets
Cast on 19; 19; 20; 21 sts with knitting needles 4 and make 1 row of purls. Then, 8 cm with stockinette stitch. Finish with RS row. Make 8 rows of knit sts and bind off the sts.
Pockets Fastening
Cast on the sts with circle needles 3,5 along the 3 sides of each pocket: 1 st of row from sides, skip every 4th row; along the bottom part – 1 st from each st. Make 3 rowsofwrongsidepattern. Bindoffthests. Make the second pocket in the same way.
Sew pockets to the front: 20; 20; 21; 21 cm from shoulder in upper part. Sew buttons: small – on upper pockets, big – on lower pockets, 7 big buttons on the left front.
