​Knit Long Jacket

You’ll need:

550 (550) 600g of mint yarn (98% wool, 2% polyamide; 60m/50g);

Knitting needles 7 and 9;

Circular knitting needles 7.

Size: S (M) L.

Used Patterns

Big pearl pattern: the quantity of sts is even. Start and finish every row with 1 selvage st.

1^st row: * 1 knit st, 1 purl*;

2^nd and 4^th rows: as sts face;

3^rd row: * 1 purl, 1 knit st*.

Repeat 1^st-4^th rows.

1 x 1 rib.

Stitches control: big pearl pattern: 11 sts x 16,5 rows = 10 x 10 cm;

Rib: 13 sts x 18,5 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions

Back

Make 74 (80) 86 sts and make 2 cm = 3 rows of big pearl pattern for placket, start with 1 WS row. Continue work due to the colors order. In 49,5 cm = 84 rows from placket, bind off 1 x 2 (2) 3 sts from both sides for shoulder chamfers, then, bind off 3 x 2 sts, 5 x 3 sts (8 x 3 sts) 8 x 3 sts in every 2^nd row. In 60 cm = 102 rows from placket, bind off the rest 28 (28) 32 sts, the central 24 sts form neck-hole, outer 2 (2) 4 sts – shoulders.

Front

Make in the same way, as back, but for neck-hole, bind off the central 16 sts for neck-hole in 54 cm = 92 rows from placket and finish both sides separately. For smooth rounding, bind off 4 x 1 st in every 2^nd row from inwards. Bind off the rest 2 (2) 4 sts of shoulder at the height of back.

Sleeves

Cast on 42 (48) 54 sts for each sleeve and make placket in the same way, as for back. Continue work due to the patterns and colors. In 34 cm = 58 rows from placket, bind off all sts.

Assembly

Make shoulder seams. For collar, cast on 70 sts with circular knitting needles with pink/dust-pink yarn and make 2 circle rows of knit sts. Continue work with main pattern. In 19 cm from the beginning of collar, make 1 circle row of purls, then, bind off all sts, as purls, sew up the sleeves, make side and sleeve seams.
