​Blue Knit Dress with Cables

You’ll need:

600g of turquoise yarn (50% wool, 50% polyacryl; 150m/100g);

Knitting needles 5.

Size: S.

Fancy pattern: 1^st row: * 1 knit st, 1 purl*; repeat from * to *;

2^nd row: in RS row – purls, in WS rows – knit sts.

Repeat the 2^nd row.

Stitches control: 17 sts x 23 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Cast on 84 sts and work in the following way: 1 selvage st, 11 sts of fancy pattern, 6 sts of cable A, 12 purls, 6 sts of cable A, 12 sts of fancy pattern, 6 sts of cable B, 12 purls, 6 sts of cable B, 11 sts of fancy pattern, 1 selvage st. In 5 rows, increase 2 stsforallcables = 92 sts. Make 2 rows and make first cables interweaving in the next row. In 10 cm from the set-up row, decrease 2 sts in the stripe of 12 sts of fancy pattern at the same time as cables interweaving, for this, make the last st of cable together with the 1^st st of fancy pattern in the end of stripe and make the last st of fancy pattern together with the 1^st st of cable. Make such decreases x 6 times. After that, make decreases in the stripes of 12 purls and 11 sts of fancy pattern. In 45 cm = 74 sts make extra rows with cables interweaving in the stripes of fancy pattern, i.e. in every 8 rows.

Make 30 cm this way, after that, divide sts in half for neck-hole and finish each side separately, after making selvage st from broaching = 38 sts. In 15 cm, bind off 3 x 10 sts, 1 x 8 sts for shoulder chamfer. Make the second side in the same way.

Front

Make in the same way, as back, but start making neck-hole in 60 cm from the set-up row.

Assembly

Make shoulder, side seams, leave 30 cm form each side for arm-holes.
