​Blue Knit Pullover with Cables

You’ll need:

700g of blue yarn (51% sheep wool, 49% polyacryl; 90m/50g);

Straight and circular knitting needles 5.

Size: S-M.

Used Patterns

1 x 1 rib: only RS rows are stated on the scheme, make WS rows due to the pattern. Start 1 selvage st and sts before pattern repeat (only for the scheme 2), pattern repeat, finish with sts after pattern repeat and 1 selvage st.

Pattern with cables A: the quantity of sts is multiple 14 + 3 + 2 selvage sts. Work due to the scheme 1. Repeat 1^st-4^th rows.

Pattern with cables B: at first, the quantity of sts is multiple 28 + 17 + 2 selvage sts. Work due to the scheme 2. After all the increases in the 1^st row, the quantity of sts is multiple 34 + 19 + 2 selvage sts. Repeat 1^st-34^th rows x once, then, repeat 3^rd-24^th rows.

Pattern with cables C: at first, the quantity of sts is multiple 14 + 3 + 2 selvage sts. Work due to the scheme 3. After increases in the 1^st row, the quantity of sts is multiple 15 + 4 + 2 selvage sts. Repeat 1^st-6^th rows x once, then, repeat 3^rd-6^th rows.

Stitches control: pattern with cables B: 22,5 sts x 24 rows = 10 x 10 cm;

Pattern with cables C: 21,5 sts x 24 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Back

Cast on 103 sts and make 9 cm = 24 rows of pattern A for the placket. Then, work with the pattern with cables B, making increases in the 1^st row = 123 sts. In 34 cm = 82 rows from the placket, bind off 9 sts for arm-holes from both sides (knit3tog in the cables) = 105 sts. In 53,3 cm = 128 rows from the placket, bind off 8 sts from both sides for sleeve chamfers and 3 x 8 sts in every 2^nd row. At the same time with the 1^st shoulder decrease, bind off the central 21 sts (knit3tog in the cables) and finish both sides separately. For smooth rounding, bind off 1 x 7 sts and 1 x 3 sts ine very 2^nd row from inwards. In 56 cm = 134 rows from the placket, all the sts should be bound off.

Front

Make in the same way, as back, but with deeper neck-hole. For this, in 51 cm = 122 rows from the placket, bind off the central 13 sts and 1 x 5 sts, 1 x 4 sts, 1 x 3 sts, 2 x 1 st in every 2^nd row.

Sleeves

Cast on 61 sts and make 9 cm = 24 rows with pattern with cables A for the placket. Then, work with the pattern with cables C, making increases in the 1^st row = 66 sts. At the same time, increase 9 x 1 st in every 8^th row from both sides for sleeve chamfers = 84 sts, include the increased sts in the pattern. In 37,5 cm = 90 rows from the placket, bind off all the sts.

Assembly

Make shoulder seams; cast on 84 sts with knitting needles along the neck-hole line for the collar and work with rib. At 10 cm collar height, continue work form WS with pattern with cables C, repeat the pattern and make increases in the 1^st row = 90 sts. At 25 cm height of the collar, bind off all the sts due to the pattern. Sew up the sleeves, make side and sleeve seams.
