Tipsy Granny Zipper Pouch Instructions:

Prep: If needed, pull out yarn until you reach a black (or outer color) section. Make slip knot 4" into black section.

Row 1: Ch 30, skip the ch closest to the hook, sc in each rem ch across; turn. (29 sts) - If preferred, you can FSC 29 instead for Row 1.

Rows 2 and 3: Ch 1, sc in each st across; turn.

BEGIN PATTERN REPEAT

Row 1: Ch 1, sc in the first st, blo sc in the next 24 sts; turn. (25 sts)

Row 2: Ch 1, blo sc across until one st rem, sc in last st; turn.

Row 3: Ch 1, sc in the first st, blo sc in the next 21 sts; turn. (22 sts)

Row 4: Rep Row 2.

Row 5: Ch 1, sc in the first st, blo sc in the next 18 sts; turn. (19 sts)

Row 6: Rep Row 2.

Row 7: Ch 1, sc in the first st, blo sc in the next 15 sts; turn. (16 sts)

Row 8: Rep Row 2.

Row 9: Ch 1, sc in the first st, blo sc in the next 12 sts; turn. (13 sts)

Work pattern repeat 4 times total. Break yarn and finish off. Move to next black section of the yarn (or outer color) and restart with that color.

Next Row: Join yarn to first st, ch 1, blo sc in each st across; turn. (29 sts)

Next Two Rows: Ch 1, sc in each st across; turn. After last row, break yarn and weave in ends.

FINISHING

1: Block piece so that it forms a rectangle with straight sides, measuring approximately 9" x 12".

2: Sew in zipper, so that one half is sewn along Row 1, and the other half is sewn along the last row.

3: Turn bag WS out. Sew or sl st along the sides, through both layers, to close up the ends of the bag. Turn RS out when finished.

4: Optional: Crochet a wrist strap or add a purchased wrist strap if desired.
