​Pistachio Knit Vest

You’ll need:

600g of yarn (65% mohair, 25% wool, 10% acryl; 120m/50g) in pistachio color;

Knitting needles 6;

6 buttons.

Size: L-XL.

Used Patterns

2 x 2 rib;

Stockinette stitch: in RS rows – knit sts, in WS rows – purls;

Wrong-side pattern: in RS rows – purls, in WS rows – knit sts.

Back

Cast on 90 sts + 2 selvage sts and make 10 cm of 2 x 2 rib. Then, work with stockinette stitch for 50 cm. Bind off all the sts.

Right Front

Cast on 60 sts + 2 selvage sts and make 10 cm of 2 x 2 rib. Then, work in the following way: 1 selvage st, 14 sts of stockinette stitch, 10 sts of wrong-side pattern, 12 sts of stockinette stitch, 10 sts of wrong-side pattern, 14 sts of stockinette stitch, 1 selvage st. Make 4 rows this way, make the first cable of 12 sts interweaving in the 5^th row: for this, at first, knit the 3^rd, 4^th and 5^th sts, then, the 1^st, 2^nd and 3^rd sts, then, 10^th, 11^th, 12^th sts, then, 6^th, 7^th, 8^th sts. Make the further interweaving in every 10^th row. At 32 cm height from the beginning of work, bind off 1 x 8 sts, 1 x 4 sts and 1 x 3 sts in every row from the right side, then, 10 x 1 st in every RS row. Bind off the rest 25 sts of shoulder.

Left Front

In symmetry to the right front.

Assembly

Make shoulder seams. Cast on sts from the edges of front and make 4 cm of 2 x 2 rib. Make button-holes on the right front (bind off 1 st and cast on the new one at this place in the new row for each button-hole). Cast on the sts along the neck-hole line and arm-holes and make 3 cm of 2 x 2 rib.
