You’ll need:
About 250g of 100% cotton yarn;
Crochethook 2.
Size: L.
Stitches control: 32 sts х 13 rows = 10 х 10 cm.

Back
Make 17 chain sts + 3 chain sts increase and make 16 pattern repeats due to the scheme 1, after that, finish your work.
Turn your work and make the patterns by turn due to the scheme 2.
After 42 rows, repeat the relief pattern from the 15th row.
At 26 cm height, leave 10 sts from both sides for arm-holes.
At 49 cm height, leave 10 sts in every row from both sides for shoulder chamfers. Finish work at 52 cm height.
Front
Make 17 chain sts + 3 chain sts increase and make 8 pattern repeats due to the scheme 1, finish your work.
Turn your work and make the patterns by turn due to the scheme 2.
At 26 cm height, leave 10 sts for arm-holes. At the same time, leave 1 st in every row along the inner side for neck-hole chamfer.
Assembly
Sew sides and shoulders, leaving 12 cm from each side for cuts.
Work due to the scheme 4 along the neck-hole line, vertical front edges, arm-holes and cut. Make 8 motifs due to the scheme 3 and sew them to bottom of vest: 4 on back and 4 on front.
Too bad these patterns can't be written patterns. I can read these, but at my age and having crocheted and knitted for over 50 yrs., I want my patterns easy.
