The quantity of sts is multiple 10 + 4 + 2 selvage sts.

1^st row: knit;

2^nd and all the even rows: due to the pattern;

3^rd row: * 5 purls, cross 4 sts to the left (leave 2 sts on the auxiliary needle in front of work, 2 knit sts and 2 knit sts from the auxiliary needle), 1 purl*; repeat from * to *, 4 purls;

5^th and 7^th rows: as 3^rd row;

9^th row: knit;

11^th, 13^th, 15^th rows: * cross 4 sts to the right (leave 2 sts on the auxiliary needle behind work, 2 knit sts and 2 knit sts from the auxiliary needle), 6 purls*; repeat from * to *, cross 4 sts to the right.

Repeat 1^st-16^th rows.
