​Small Stars Knit Stitch

Horizontal pattern repeat = 4 sts.

The quantity of sts is multiple of 4 + 1 st for the symmetry + 2 selvedge sts.

Vertical pattern repeat = 4 rows.

Start and finish every row with selvedge sts: slip the 1^st st, the last st – purl. Selvedge sts aren’t stated on the scheme.

3 out 3 sts star: 1 knit st through lower loop in every 3 sts, don’t slip the sts, leave them on the left-hand needle, make yarn over on the right-hand needle, make 1 knit st, after that, slip the sts from the left-hand needle.

1^st row: knit;

2^nd row: purl;

3^rd row: 1 knit st, * 3 sts out of 3 sts, 1 knit st*; repeat from * to * to end of row;

4^th row and all the even rows: purl;

5^th row: 3 knit sts, * 3 sts out of 3 sts, 1 knit st*; repeat from * to * to last 2 sts, 2 knit sts.

Repeat 2^nd-5^th rows.
