​Relief Lavender Pullover

You’ll need:

450g of lavender GEDIFRA Fiocco yarn (80% cotton, 20% polyamide; 85m/50g);

Knitting needles 6;

Crochet hook 5.

Size: S-M.

Used Patterns

Italian cast on with relief edge: cast on the half of the needed quantity of sts with contrast yarn and make 1 row of knit sts. Then, make 3 rows of stockinette stitch with working yarn. Make 1 knit st from broaching after every st, which should be slipped as purl, yarn in front of work = double quantity of sts minus 1 st. Then, make RS row in the following way: 1 selvage st, * 1 yarn over, 1 st from broaching, make knit2tog with the next st*; repeat from * to *, 1 selvage st. Make WS rows and yarn overs as purls. Take off contrast yarn.

Stockinette stitch: in RS row – knit sts, in WS row – purls;

Main pattern: due to the scheme, on which only RS rows are stated, make WS rows and yarn overs as purls, crossed knit st – as crossed purl. Start with 1 selvage st and sts before pattern repeat, pattern repeat, finish with sts after pattern repeat and 1 selvage st. Repeat 1^st-48^th rows.

Stitches control: 17 sts x 21 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Back

Cast on 42 sts with contrast yarn and Italian method = 83 sts. Then, make 4 rows of stockinette stitch. After that, work with the main pattern. In 37 cm from the set-up row, bind off 1 x 4 sts and 2 x 2 sts in every 2^nd row from both sides = 67 sts. In 56 cm from the set-up row (there are 35 sts on the knitting needles), make 1 WS row with purls, make 1 knit st and 1 purl from 12 yarn overs of the last RS row = 47 sts. Then, make 2 cm of stockinette stitch and bind off the sts.

Front

Make in the same way, as back.

Sleeves

Cast on 26 sts with contrast yarn in Italian method = 51 sts. Then, make 4 rows of stockinette stitch. After that, work with the main pattern. For sleeve chamfers, increase 6 x 1 st in every 14^th row from both sides, include the increased sts in stockinette stitch = 63 sts. In 49 cm from the set-up row, bind off 1 x 7 sts for sleeve caps from both sides = 49 sts. Then, make 3^rd-15^th rows of the pattern, don’t make yarn overs before and after selvage sts. In 56 cm from the set-up row, bind off the rest 19 sts.

Assembly

Make shoulder seams 8 cm wide; fasten the neck-hole with 1 row of “shrimp stitch”. Sew up the sleeves, make side and sleeve seams.
