​Lavender Crochet Vest

You’ll need:

400 (450)g of lavender Puntino yarn (100% cotton; 160m/50g);

Crochet hook 3,5.

Size: S (M).

Note: make front and back as one-piece cloth.

Used Patterns

Lace pattern: the quantity of sts is multiple 33 + 10 + 3 chain sts increase. Work due to the scheme 1. Start with sts before pattern repeat, pattern repeat, finish with sts after pattern repeat. Make 1^st-5^th rows x once, then, repeat 2^nd-5^th rows, finish with the 4^th row.

Net pattern: the quantity of sts is multiple 3 + 2 + 3 chain sts increase. Work in the same way, as lace pattern, but due to the scheme 2. Make 1^st-3^rd rows, then, repeat 2^nd and 3^rd rows.

Fringe: 1^st row: single crochets;

2^nd row: * 1 single crochet, 1 picot, skip 1 st*; repeat from * to *.

Stitches control: lace pattern: 23 sts x 11,5 rows = 10 x 10 cm;

Net pattern: 25 sts x 10 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions

Make 274 (307) chain sts + 3 chain sts increase and work with lace pattern. In 20 cm from the set-up row, decrease 9 (10) x 1 st, for this, make 2 double crochets together in every group of double crochets. Repeat these decreases in 30 and 36 cm from the set-up row. In 42 cm from the set-up row, make 209 (227) single crochets, then, work with net pattern. In 18 cm from the net pattern, divide your work into back and front.

Back

At first, make back on the central 40 (44) cm, leave 1 x 2 cm and 2 x 1 cm in every row from both sides for arm-holes. In 32 cm from the beginning of the net pattern, leave the central 12 cm for neck-hole and finish both sides separately. For smooth rounding, leave 1 x 2 cm and 1 x 1 cm in every row from inwards. In 35 cm from the beginning of the net pattern, finish your work.

Right Front

Make right front on the first 20 (22) cm, make arm-hole from the right-side in the same way, as for back. At the same time, leave 1 cm from the left side for neck-hole chamfer and 16 x 0,5 cm in every row. Finish your work at the height of back.

Left Front

Make in symmetry to the right front.

Assembly

Make shoulder seams; fasten the edges of front with 1 row of single crochets and 1 row of “shrimp stitch”. Fasten the neck-hole and arm-holes with fringe. Fasten the lower edge with the 2^nd row of fringe. For the string, make a chain of 150 cm long.
