​Lavender Knit Pullover

You’ll need:

450 (500)g of lavender Sari yarn (50% cotton, 50% viscose; 90m/50g);

Knitting needles 4,5; 5; 6,5;

Circular knitting needles 4.

Size: S (M).

Used Patterns

Rib A, knitting needles 4,5: 1^st row: 1 cross knit st, 1 purl;

2^nd row; due to the pattern.

Repeat 1^st-2^nd rows.

Relief pattern (6 sts wide), knitting needles 5: 1^st row: * 1 knit st, 1 cross knit st, 1 yarn over, knit2tog, 2 knit sts*; repeat from * to *;

2^nd row: purl.

Repeat 1^st-2^nd rows.

Rib B (5 sts wide), knitting needles 5: 1^st row: 1 purl, 4 knit sts;

2^nd row: due to the pattern.

Repeat 1^st-2^nd row.

Stripe with holes (2 sts wide), knitting needles 5: 1^st and 2^nd rows: purl;

3^rd row: * 1 yarn over, knit2tog*; repeat from * to *;

4^th and 5^th rows: purl;

6^th row: knit.

Repeat 1^st-6^th rows.

Fringe of arches (18 sts wide), knitting needles 6,5: due to the scheme, on which only RS rows are stated, make WS rows and yarn overs as purls. Repeat the pattern. Make 1^st-4^th rows x 4 times = 16 rows.

Stitches control: rib A: 14 sts x 24 rows = 10 x 10 cm;

Relief pattern: 14 sts x 21 rows = 10 x 10 cm;

Rib B: 14 sts x 22 rows = 10 x 10 cm;

Stripe with holes: 14 sts x 6 rows = 10 x 3,5 cm;

Fringe of arches: 14 sts x 16 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions

Back

Cast on 74 (92) sts and make fringe of arches between selvage sts, then, make stripe with holes. After that, make 18,5 cm of relief pattern between selvage sts. In 32 cm = 67 rows from the set-up row, continue work with rib A, make yarn overs of the previous row together with the next st = 62 (77) sts. At 8 cm height of rib A continue work with rib B, start with 2 knit sts. In 51 cm from the set-up row, bind off 2 sts from both sides for arm-holes and 2 x 1 st in every 2^nd row. At 17 (20) cm height of arm-holes, bind off the central 14 (19) sts of neck-hole and finish both sides separately, bind off 1 x 2 sts and 1 x 1 st in every 2^nd row from neck-hole side. At the same time, at 19 (22) cm height of arm-holes, bind off 6 (8) sts from outer edge for shoulder chamfers, 1 x 6 sts and 1 x 5 sts (2 x 7 sts) in every 2^nd row. At 21 (24) cm height of arm-holes, bind off all the sts.

Front

Start in the same way, as back, at 8 cm height of rib A, bind off 4 sts from both sides for chamfers and 6 (8) x 4 sts in every 2^nd row. At 14 (15,5) cm height of rib A, bind off the rest 6 (5) sts. Then, cast on 32 (40) sts along right chamfer and work with rib B between selvage sts, decrease 11 (14) x 1 st in every 5^th (4^th) row from left side. At the same time, at 11 cm height of rib, bind off 2 sts from the left side for arm-hole and 2 x 1 st in every 2^nd row. Bind off the rest sts at the height of back. Make left half in symmetry.

Sleeves

Cast on 56 sts and make fringe of arches between selvage sts, then, make stripe with holes, make knit3tog instead of knit2tog after every yarn over in the 3^rd row of the stripe, i.e., there will be 18 sts decreased in this row = 38 sts. Then, work with relief pattern between selvage sts, in 10 cm increase 1 st from both sides for sleeve chamfers and 4 (8) x 1 st in every 2^nd row, include the increased sts in the pattern. In 29,5 (32) cm from the set-up row, bind off 4 sts from both sides for sleeve caps and 2 (3) x 2 sts and 7 (6) x 1 st in every 2^nd row. At 10 cm height of sleeve cap, bind off the rest sts.

Assembly

Make shoulder, side and sleeve seams. Sew up the sleeves. For plackets, cast on 72 (80) sts along the neck-hole center to the center of front with circular knitting needles and work with straight and reversed rows in the following way: 1^st-3^rd rows: knit; 4^th row: * 1 yarn over, knit2tog*; repeat from * to *; 5^th-9^th rows: knit. Then, bind off the sts. Put right short side of placket upon left one and sew.
