​Nice Knit Girl’s Dress

You’ll need:

100g of light-violet yarn Gold (92% acryl, 8% metallic polyester; 400m/100g);

100g of the same yarn, but in dark-violet color;

Straight knitting needles 2;

Circle knitting needles 2;

Crochet hook 2.

Size: 4-5 years.

Used Patterns

1/2/2 x 1/2/1 rib;

Garter stitch: all knit sts;

Stockinette stitch: in RS row – knit sts, in WS row – purls;

Relief pattern: due to the scheme, on which only RS rows are stated, make WS rows and yarn overs – as purls.

Stitches control: 23 sts x 36 rows of stockinette stitch = 10 x 10 cm;

20 sts x 36 rows of relief pattern = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions

Back/Front

Cast on 160 sts with straight knitting needles and dark-violet yarn and make 2 rows of stockinette stitch. Make knit2tog in the next row with all the sts, then, 2 rows of stockinette stitch. After that, make 11 cm of relief pattern due to the scheme. Change the yarn to light-violet and decrease the sts in the next row. For this, knit every 2^nd and 3^rd sts together. Work the next 11 cm with garter stitch, then, make decreases in the same way. Then, make 2 cm of 1 x 1 rib. Decrease 20 sts in the next row and continue work with stockinette stitch. At 39 cm height from the beginning of work, bind off 1 x 3 sts, 2 x 2 sts, 1 x 1 st in every 2^nd row from both sides for arm-holes. At 45 cm height, finish your work. Leave the sts open.

Then, knit front and back parts together. Transfer the sts of front to the circle knitting needles, cast on 36 sts for sleeve, transfer the sts of back and cast on 36 sts for the second sleeves. Make 4 cm of 2 x 2 ri around with dark-violet yarn. Then, make knit2tog in the stripes of purls. Then, make 2 cm of 2 x 1 rib, bind off the sts.
