​Knit Dress and Headband for Baby Girl

You’ll need:

100g of green and yellow colors (each) of yarn (50% viscose, 50% acryl; 440m/100g);

Knitting needles 2,5;

Crochet hook 2.

Size: 86-92 cm.

Used Patterns

Relief waves: due to the scheme.

Rib with drawn st: 1^st row: * 1 knit st, 1 purl*; repeat from * to *;

2^nd row: 1 knit st, slip 1 st, yarn in front of work. Repeat 1^st-2^nd rows.

Stitches control: 40 sts x 32 sts = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions

Front

Cast on 110 sts with green yarn and work with relief waves pattern (1 selvage st, 6 pattern repeats of 18 sts, 1 selvage st) for 16 rows. Turn to yellow yarn and make 12 rows with the same pattern, after that, alternate 12 green rows and 12 yellow rows with the same pattern, totally, 64 rows. Make the next row due to the scheme, but without yarn over, decrease the quantity of sts to 1/3 (108/3 + 2 + 2 selvage sts) = 74 sts. Continue work with rib with drawn st pattern with green yarn. In 20 rows, bind off 8 sts form both sides for arm-holes and continue work with rib with drawn st pattern. In 34 rows from the beginning of arm-holes, bind off the central 12 sts for neck-hole and continue work, decrease 1 x 3 sts, 1 x 2 sts and 2 x 1 st in every 2^nd row along the inner side of strap. Knit the rest 16 sts for 18 rows. Bind off the sts.

Back

Make in the same way, as front.

Assembly

Make side and shoulder seams. Make 3 flowers due to the scheme 1 with yellow yarn and crochet hook and 1 flower due to the scheme 2 with green yarn.

Make 2 leaves.

1^st row: 7 chain sts;

2^nd row: 1 chain st increase, 1 single crochet, 1 half double crochet, 1 double crochet, 1 treble crochet, 1 double crochet, 1 half crochet, 1 single crochet.

Headband

Cast on 110 sts with yellow yarn and work with rib with drawn st pattern for 16 rows. Bindoffthests. Sewbothends. Sew flowers to the dress and headband.
