You’ll need:
130g of 100% acryl yarn in crimson, red, green, yellow and ecru colors each;
Crochet hook 4,5;
Knitting needles 5.
Size: 4 years.
Used Patterns
Motif and half-motif: due to the schemes 1 and 2;
Fancy patterns: due to the schemes 3 and 4;
2 x 2 rib.
Stitches control: side of motif = about 10 cm;
13 sts of fancy pattern = 10 cm;
Rib: 11 sts x 14 rows = 10 x 10 cm.
Instructions
Back and Front
Make 15 motifs due to the scheme 1 and 4 half-motifs due to the scheme 2, alternate the colors in motifs due to the drawing. Fasten the sides of some motifs for back with 1 row of double crochets with the needed color of yarn. For the central stripe, connect motifs and half-motifs due to the drawing. Make 1 row of double crochets with red yarn (along the bottom edge (89 sts), 2 rows with yellow yarn and 1 row with red yarn. Connect motifs and half-motifs for the bottom stripe and connect their upper edge with the last row of double crochets with red yarn. Make 89 sts along the edge of bottom cable due to the scheme 3. Make 89 sts due to the scheme 4 along the upper edge of central stripe. At the same time as the beginning of the pattern due to the scheme 4, at about 36 cm height, decrease 6 x 1 st after 1 selvage st in every row from both sides for neck-hole chamfer = 77 sts. For back, connect 3 motifs in a stripe. Make 3 rows of double crochets on 45 sts of arm-hole with red yarn along the upper edge of back and finish your work. For front, sew 1 motif from both sides, leave 3 sts for each arm-hole. Make 3 rows of double crochets on 13 sts with red yarn along the upper edge of these motifs.
Sleeves
Make 2 motifs due to the scheme 1 for each sleeve. Fasten the sides of motifs with 1 row of double crochets and connect the motifs. Work due to the scheme 4 along on 32 sts along the upper edge of motifs and continue work with double crochets with red yarn. Increase 2 x 1 st in every 8th row = 36 sts. At 30 cm height from the beginning of motifs, finish your work. Fasten the bottom edge of sleeves with 2 rows of double crochets with ecru yarn. Total height is about 33 cm.
Collar and Plackets
Cast on 26 sts with knitting needles 7 in 2 threads of ecru yarn and work with 2 x 2 rib, increase 2 x 4 sts, 3 x 3 sts, 5 x 2 sts, 1 st and 40 sts in every 2nd row from both sides = 162 sts. At 20 cm height, bind off the sts due to the pattern.
Assembly
Make side seams. Sew up the sleeves in the arm-holes. Fasten front and neck-hole line with 1 row of single crochets with ecru yarn. Sew collar and plackets. For belt, make a braid about 110 cm long of several threads of ecru yarn. For belt-loops, make 2 chains 4 cm long each with ecru yarn and sew them from both sides.
