You’ll need:

290g of light-blue yarn BLUES;

80g of the same yarn, but in white color;

Knitting needles 4,5 and 5.

Size: S.

Note: pearled rib is WS of half-patent rib.

Used Patterns

Main pattern: due to the scheme, on which only RS rows are stated, make WS rows due to the ornament, yarn overs as purls.

Stitches control: 15 sts x 22 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions

Back

Cast on 63 sts with knitting needles 4,5 and white yarn and work with pearled rib. In 4 cm from the beginning of work, turn to knitting needles 5 and work with the main pattern with light-blue yarn. In 10 cm from the beginning of work, decrease 6 x 1 st in every 2nd row from both sides for better fitting. Then, increase 5 x 1 st in every 5th row from both sides. In 41 cm from the beginning of work, bind off 7 sts from both sides for arm-holes. In 16 cm from the beginning of arm-hole, bind off the central 21 sts for the neck-hole and finish both parts separately. For smooth rounding, bind off 2 x 2 sts and 1 x 1 st in every 2nd row from inwards. In 60 cm from the beginning of work, bind off the rest 8 sts.

Front

Cast on 65 sts with knitting needles 4,5 and white yarn and work with pearled rib. In 4 cm from the beginning of work, turn to knitting needles 5 and knit 3 parts separately: 28 sts with main pattern with light-blue yarn and knitting needles 5, 9 sts of pearled rib with white yarn and knitting needles 4,5, 28 sts with main pattern with light-blue yarn and knitting needles 5. On sides, in 10 cm from the beginning of work, decrease 7 x 1 st in every 2nd row from outer side. Then, increase 6 x 1 st in every 5th row from outer side. In 18 cm from the beginning of work, decrease 12 x 1 st in every 6th row from inwards for the neck-hole chamfer. In 41 cm from the beginning of work, make arm-hole in the same way, as for back. In 60 cm from the beginning of work, bind off the rest 8 sts. Increase 5 x 1 st in every 2nd row from both sides on the central placket in 18 cm from the beginning of work. In 25 cm from the beginning of work, bind off the central st for V-shape neck-hole and finish both parts separately. In 60 cm from the beginning of work, sew the plackets to the sides of front and continue along the neck-hole, connecting the sts of placket with the sts of back.

Sleeves

Cast on 35 sts with white yarn and knitting needles 4,5 and work with pearled rib. In 4 cm from the beginning of work, turn to main pattern with light-blue yarn and knitting needles 5. In 11 cm from the beginning of work, turn to knitting needles 4,5 and work with pearled rib with white yarn. In 15 cm from the beginning of work, turn to main pattern with light-blue yarn and knitting needles 5. In 22 cm from the beginning of work, turn to knitting needles 4,5 and work with pearled rib with white yarn. In 26 cm from the beginning of work, turn to main pattern with light-blue yarn and knitting needles 5. In 15 cm from the beginning of work, increase 5 x 1 st (= 45 sts) in every 12th row from both sides for sleeve chamfers. In 48 cm from the beginning of work, bind off 4 sts from both sides for sleeve cap and 1 x 2 sts, 14 x 1 st in every 2nd row. In 63 cm from the beginning of work, bind off the rest 5 sts.
