Crochet Beautiful Cowl

Crochet Beautiful Cowl is a wonderful project that allows you to create a cozy and stylish accessory to wear during the colder months. With just a few skeins of yarn and a crochet hook, you can easily bring this cowl to life. It's a fantastic way to show off your crafting skills while staying warm and fashionable. So grab your supplies, put on some music, and get ready to crochet your way to a fabulous new accessory that will keep you feeling snug and looking fabulous!

Materials:

  • 9.0 mm crochet hook
  • 87 yards of super bulky/#6 weight yarn (I used 1 ball1 of Wool Ease Thick & Quick in the “Carousel” colorway)
  • Yarn/tapestry needle
  • Scissors
  • Measuring Tape

Sizing:

  • This cowl has a circumference of 28 inches.
  • Cowl is about 7.5 inches tall.

Pattern Notes:

  • This cowl has no special stitch count or multiple, so you can easily make it as big or small around as you want! Just adjust the starting chains to any number you like. The cowl should be able to fit comfortably over the head without pulling or stretching.
  • For the cowl height, I worked a total of 8 rounds for the one pictured. To make it taller, simply work more rounds. This will give it a “slouchier” look.

One Hour Crochet Cowl Pattern:

  • Ch 50 (there is no special stitch count for this cowl, if you need to change the circumference, you can do any number of chains you like!)
  • Join with a slip stitch in the furthest chain from the hook. This will create a large ring and the bottom edge of the cowl.
  • Round 1: Chain three, then work a dc into the first chain and in each chain around. Join with a slip stitch in the topmost chain (third chain up) to close the round.
  • Rows 2: Chain three (counts as a dc), then work a dc into the next stitch and in each stitch around. Join with a slip stitch in the topmost chain (third chain up) to close the round.
  • Repeat round 2 six more times for the one pictured or as tall as you like! The cowl pictured has a total of 8 rounds and I used almost every last bit of the yarn from my skein.

Finishing & Assembly:

  • Weave in any ends and your cowl is ready to wear!
