Relief White Cowl
You’ll need:
5 skeins of white 100% Alpaca wool yarn (167m/50g);
Crochet hook 3,5.
Measurements:
Width: 50 cm;
Circumference: 110 cm.
Note: the quantity of sts is multiple 6 + 2.
Instructions
Make 182 chain sts and work around.
1st row: 1 single crochet in the 2nd st from the crochet hook, * skip 2 chain sts, 5 double crochets in the next chain st (= 1 shell), skip 2 chain sts, 1 single crochet*; repeat from * to *, finish with 1 single crochet in the last chain st (= totally, 30 shells). Circle the row with slip st in the first st;
2nd row: 3 chain sts increase, 2 double crochets in the 1st st, * 1 single crochet in the central of 5 double crochets of shell, 5 double crochets in the next single crochet*; repeat from * to *, finish with 1 single crochet in the center of the last shell, 2 double crochets in the 1st st of the previous row, slip st in the 3rd chain st;
3rd row: 1 single crochet in the 1st st (= middle of shell), * 5 double crochets in the next single crochet, 1 single crochet in the middle of the next shell*; repeat from * to *, finish with 5 double crochets in the last single crochet, circle the row with slip st;
4th-50th rows: repeat 2nd and 3rd rows.
Cut the yarn.
Fasten the edges with trefoils: 1 single crochet, 6 chain sts, 1 double crochet in the 3rd chain st from the crochet hook, 1 slip st in the same st, * 3 chain sts, 1 double crochet, 3 chain sts, 1 slip st* in the same chain st; repeat from * to * x once, then, make 3 chain sts, skip 4 sts. Repeat the pattern around. Fasten the second edge in the same way.
