Relief White Pullover

You’ll need:

500 (550)g of white Favola yarn (60% cotton, 40% microfiber; 150m/50g);

Straight knitting needles 4 and 5;

Circle knitting needles 4.

Size: S (M).

Used Patterns

Garter stitch: in RS and WS rows – knit sts, in circle rows – 1 row of knit sts, 1 row of purls;

Relief pattern: at first, the quantity of sts is multiple 17 + 34 + 2 selvedge sts. Work due to the scheme, on which only RS rows are stated, make WS rows due to the ornament or as stated, make cross knit sts as cross purls, yarn overs – as purls. Start with 1 selvedge st and sts before pattern repeat, pattern repeat, finish with sts after pattern repeat, 1 selvedge st. Make 1st-34th rows x once (knit 17th-34th rows, make 1 cross knit st instead of “beads” in the 17th row), then, repeat 3rd-34th rows.

Net pattern: the quantity of sts is even.

1st row: 1 selvedge st, * knit2tog, 1 yarn over*; repeat from * to *, 1 selvedge st;

2nd and 4th rows: all purls between selvedge sts;

3rd row: 1 selvedge st, * 1 yarn over, knit2tog as broaching (slip 1 st as knit st, 1 knit st, draw it throught the slipped st)*; repeat from * to *, 1 selvedge st.

Repeat 1st-4th rows.

Patterns order: 47,5 cm = 162 rows of relief pattern; 13,5 cm = 48 rows (16 cm = 58 rows) of net pattern.

Special decreases: make knit2tog in the beginning of the row after 1 selvedge st, knit2tog as broaching in the end of row.

Stitches control: relief pattern: 24 sts x 34 rows = 10 x 10 cm;

Net pattern: 24 sts x 36 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions

Back

Cast on 107 (124) sts and make 1 cm = 3 rows of garter stitch for the placket, start with 1 WS row, then, work due to the pattern order (there are 113 (131) sts in work after the 1st row). In 42,5 cm = 144 rows from the placket, bind off 1 x 9 (11) sts from both sides for arm-holes = 95 (109) sts.

In 13,5 cm = 48 rows (16 cm = 58 rows) of net pattern, bind off all the sts. Outer 30 (33) sts from each side form shoulders, central 35 (43) sts – neck-hole.

Front

Make in the same way, as back, but with V-shape neck-hole. For this, divide your work with the beginning of arm-holes, i.e., don’t make “bead” on the central st, make it as selvedge st; leave the rest 56 (65) sts. Decrease 7 x 1 st from inwards for chamfer, don’t make the last yarn over in this RS row. After that, decrease 1 st with special decrease in the 1st row of net pattern and repeat these decreases x 10 times in every 4th row (3 times in every 2nd row and 11 times in every 4th row).

Sleeves

Cast on 73 sts and make 1 cm = 3 rows of garter stitch. Then, make 5 cm = 1st-18th rows of relief pattern (there are 77 sts in work after the 1st row). Decrease 1 st of relief pattern in the last row = 76 sts, then, continue work with net pattern. For widening, decrease 1 st in the 5th row from both sides of the relief pattern and 7 x 1 st in every 6th row = 60 sts. Then, increase 1 st of net pattern from both sides in the 53rd row of the net pattern, 10 x 1 st in every 6th row, 4 x 1 st in every 4th row (13 x 1 st in every 4th row and 7 x 1 st in every 2nd row), include the increased sts in the pattern = 90 (102) sts. In 41 cm = 148 rows (38,5 cm = 138 rows) from the relief pattern, bind off all the sts.

Assembly

Make shoulder seams, for placket, cast on 47 (51) sts with circle knitting needles along the chamfers of neck-hole, 1 st from the central st and 44 (52) sts along the back neck-hole = 139 (155) sts. Make 3 circle rows of garter stitch, start with 1 circle WS row, bind off all the sts.
