6 mm black safety eyes or small round black buttons

The bottom of the cookie is crocheted in joined rounds, while the top is crocheted in unjoined rounds. I found that this produces a cookie with a nicely domed top and a flat bottom.

Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.
If you’d like to add a smiley face, I suggest doing so before you sew the top and bottom together.
Stack top and bottom together with RS facing out. Sew together along the edges using long tail from top. When you’re a little more than halfway around, stuff very lightly before sewing the rest together.
Embroider chocolate chips on the top.
