​Peach Knit Jacket

You’ll need:

450 (500)g of peach color yarn (85% cotton, 15% polyacryl);

Knitting needles 5;

9 buttons.

Size: S (M).

Used Patterns

2 x 2 rib;

Stockinette stitch: in RS rows – knit sts, in WS rows – purls;

Diagonal pattern: due to the scheme, on which only RS rows are stated, make WS rows due to the ornament, yarn overs – as purls. Repeat 1^st-8^th rows for diagonals, then, repeat 9^th and 10^th rows.

Stitches control: stockinette stitch: 16 sts x 25 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions

Back

Cast on 66 (74) sts and work with rib. Start the 1^st row (WS) with 1 selvage st, 1 knit st, 2 purls. In 20 cm, make 5 (9) sts of stockinette stitch from both sides of selvage st. Knit the central 54 sts with diagonal pattern – 10 sts pattern A, 40 sts due to the ornament, 10 sts pattern B. Increase 1 st in all the following RS rows of stockinette stitch, and decrease the central sts of rib to 1 st. Then, repeat 9^th and 10^th rows. At the same time, increase 5 x 1 st in every 9^th row from both sides for side chamfers and work with stockinette stitch = 76 (84) sts. In 41 cm, bind off 1 x 4 sts, 1 x 4 sts, 2 x 1 stin every 2^nd row from both sides = 55 (66) sts. In 55 (57) cm, bind off the central 30 sts for the neck-hole, then, 1 x 4 sts and 1 x 2 sts in every 2^nd row from both sides. In 56 (60) cm, bind off the rest 8 (12) sts of shoulder.

Left Front

Cast on 33 (37) sts and work with rib, starting from WS row in the following way: 1 selvage st, 2 purls.
In 20 cm, make 5 (9) sts of stockinette stitch, then, 10 sts of pattern A, replace the ornament to the same principle to the left, then, on the last 10 sts * before selvage st, repeat 9^th and 10^th rows all the time. Make side chamfer from the right side and neck-hole in the same way, as for back. In 41 (43) cm from the left side, bind off 3 x 1 st in every 2^nd row for neck-hole and 3 x 1 st in every 4^th row. For this, knit till the 11^th st before the end of row, then, work with knit2tog. In 58 (60) cm, bind off 8 (12) sts for the right side for shoulder. Knit the rest 10 sts in the same way, as it was previously described, but decrease 1 selvage st in the 1^st row. In 8 cm, bind off all the 11 sts.

Right Front

Make in the same way. For the neck-hole, knit 9 sts from the right side, then, 1 broaching.

Sleeves

Cast on 42 (46) sts and work with rib, starting from the WS row in the following way: 1 selvage st, 1 knit st, 2 purls. In 15 cm, make 1 (3) sts of stockinette stitch from both sides of selvage st. The central 33 sts – due to the diagonal pattern – 10 sts pattern A, 18 sts due to the ornament, 10 sts pattern B. Then, make widening of stockinette stitch, as it’s described for back, then, repeat the 9^th and 10^th rows. At the same time with the beginning of diagonal pattern, increase 7 x 1 st in every 10^th row (1 st in every 3^rd row) for sleeve widening and work with stockinette stitch. In 48 cm, bind off 1 x 3 sts, 1 x 2 sts, 10 x 1 st, 2 x 2 sts, 1 x 3 sts in every 2^nd row from both sides for sleeve cap, then, bind off the rest 12 (18) sts.

Assembly

Make all the seams, sew up the sleeves. Fasten the edges of jacket and back neck-hole with 1 row of half crochets by means of the crochet hook, make 9 button-holes on the right front. Sew the buttons.
