You’ll need:

70g of 100% cotton yarn of blue color (200m/100g);

30g of the same yarn, but white color;

Crochet hook 3,5.

Instructions

Start with a crown with blue yarn.

Make 4 chain sts and circle them in a ring by means of slip st. Then, work due to the scheme.

Colors alternation: * 2 rows of blue yarn, 1 row of white yarn*; repeat from * to * x 5 times, make 2 rows with blue yarn.

1st row: 3 chain sts increase, 11 double crochets. Visually, divide your work into 12 equal parts of sts in the 1st row;

2nd row: 3 chain sts increase, 1 double crochet in the same base, 1 double crochet, * 2 double crochets in one base st*; repeat from * to * x 11 times;

3rd row: 3 chain sts increase, 1 double crochet in the same base, 1 double crochet, * 2 double crochets, 2 double crochets in one base st*; repeat from * to * x 11 times;

4th row: 3 chain sts increase, 1 double crochet, 1 double crochet, 2 double crochets in one base st, * 2 double crochets, 2 double crochets in one base st*; repeat from * to * x 11 times;

5th row: 3 chain sts increase, 2 double crochets in one base st, 3 double crochets, * 2 double crochets in one base st, 3 double crochets*; repeat from * to * x 11 times;

6th row: 3 chain sts increase, 2 double crochets, 2 double crochets in 1 base st, 2 double crochets, * 2 double crochets, 2 double crochets in one base st, 2 double crochets*; repeat from * to * x 11 times.

Continue work in the same way, displace increase to 1 double crochet. Crochet until the diameter is 20 cm (about 11 rows), then make 3 rows without increases.

To make your work more narrow, decrease 12 sts in every row, beginning from the next row, make 3 such rows, then, 1 row of double crochets and 2 rows of double crochets without decreases.
