Crochet Marine Jacket

You’ll need:

250g of dark-blue CoCo yarn (100% mercerized cotton; 240m/50g);

250g of the same yarn, but in white color;

Crochet hook 3;

Zipper 60 cm long.

Size: M.

Stitches control: 22 dc x 12 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions

Back and Front

Make as one-piece cloth. Make 280 chain sts with dark-blue yarn. Make 1 chain st increase (= 1^st single crochet) in the next row, then, make 1 single crochet in every st of the set-up chain. Continue work with single crochets to 1 cm height. After that, work with double crochets, alternate 2 white and 2 dark-blue rows.

Note: make 3 chain sts increase (= 1^st double crochet) in the beginning of every row.

At 44 cm height, divide the sts in the following way (place marks with contrast yarn): 92 sts for right front, 135 sts for back and 45 sts for left front. Then, finish each detail separately, decrease 21 x 1 double crochet in every 2^nd row for raglan chamfers (2 double crochets together). Make decreases from both sides of back, only from one side of front. At 68 cm height, finish your work, cut and fasten the yarn.

Sleeves

Make 55 chain sts with dark-blue yarn. Make 1 chain st increase (= 1^st single crochet) in the next row, 1 single crochet in every st of the set-up chain. Continue work with single crochets to 1 cm height. Then, work with double crochets, alternate 2 white and 2 dark-blue rows.

Note: make 3 chain sts increase (= 1^st double crochet) in the beginning of every row.

Increase 1 double crochet in the 10^th row for forming sleeve chamfers. Repeat increases x 8 times in every 4^th row. At 36 cm height, decrease 21 x 1 st in every 4^th row from both sides for sleeve caps.

Assembly

Make raglan seams. Make 2 rows of single crochets with white yarn, making 2 single crochets in every double crochet (along vertical edges) along front edges and neck-hole. Cut and fasten the yarn. Sew zipper.

For pocket, make 60 sts and make a rectangular of single crochets 14 cm height. Sew pocket to the right front.
