Burgundy Knit Coat
You’ll need:
900g of half-woolen yarn (50% wool, 50% acryl): 400g of pink color, 300g of crimson color, 200g of burgundy color;
Knitting needles 4;
Crochet hook 2;
11 buttons.
Size: S-M.
Note: work in 2 threads of yarn.
Instructions
Back
Cast on 60 sts and work with pearled pattern due to the scheme 1. In 80 cm from the set-up row, bind off 1 x 3 sts, 1 x 2 sts, 1 x 1 st in every 2nd row from both sides for arm-holes. In 87 cm from the set-up row, bind off the central 10 sts for neck-hole and finish both sides separately. For neck-hole chamfer, bind off 1 x 3 sts and 1 x 2 sts in every 2nd row from inwards. Bind off the rest 14 sts of shoulder in one row in 100 cm from the set-up row. Make the second half in symmetry.
Left Front
Cast on 35 sts and work with pearled pattern due to the scheme 1, change colors in the same way, as for back. In 80 cm from the set-up row, make arm-hole from the right side in the same way, as for back. In 87 cm from the set-up row, make decreases for neck-hole from the left side in the same way, as for back. For this, bind off 1 x 7 sts, 4 x 2 sts. Bind off the rest sts of shoulder in one row in 100 cm from the set-up row.
Right Front
Make in symmetry to the left front.
Sleeves
Cast on 30 sts and work with pearled pattern due to the scheme 1. In 5 cm from the set-up row, make increases for sleeve chamfers. For this, increase 7 x 1 st in every 7th row from both sides, include the increased sts in the pattern. In 42 cm from the set-up row, bind off 1 x 3 sts, 6 x 2 sts, 1 x 3 sts and 1 x 4 sts in every 2nd row from both sides.
Collar
Make shoulder seams. Make double crochets with pink yarn 15 cm height along the neck-hole with the help of crochet hook. Finish your work with 2 rows of crimson yarn. Fasten the edges of front and collar with 1 row of single crochets and 3 rows of double crochets. Make 1 row of double crochets along front.
Pockets
Make double crochets with crimson yarn 15 x 15 cm size. Fasten the edges with 1 row of single crochets with burgundy yarn. Sew pockets to the front, decorate with fringe.
Assembly
Make side seams, leave the lower 30 cm open. Make sleeve seam. Sew up the sleeves in the arm-holes. Sew buttons.
