Straight and circle knitting needles 6;

Crochet hook 5;

1 button;

2 snappers.

Size: S.

Used Patterns

Wrong-side pattern: in RS rows – purls, in WS rows – knit sts;

2nd and 4th rows: 1 purl;

Repeat 3rd-4th rows;

Rib: the quantity of sts is multiple 4 + 2 + 2 selvedge sts. Start and finish every row with 1 selvedge st.

1st row: 2 purls, 2 knit sts by turn, finish with 2 purls;

2nd row: due to the ornament, insert the knitting needle 1 row lower for the 1st st, make the 2nd purl or knit st as usual purl or knit st.

Repeat the 2nd row.

Stitches control: squares pattern: 12,5 sts x 22 rows = 10 х 10 cm.

Instructions

Back

Cast on 74 sts with criss-cross method and work with squares pattern. In 88 cm = 194 rows from the set-up row, bind off 9 sts from both sides for arm-holes = 56 sts. In 112,5 cm = 248 rows from the set-up row, bind off 4 sts from both sides for shoulder chamfers and 3 x 4 sts in every 2nd row. At the same time with the 1st decrease, bind off the central 14 sts for the neck-hole and finish both sides separately. For smooth rounding, bind off 1 x 3 sts and 1 x 2 sts in every 2nd row from inwards. In 115,5 cm = 254 rows from the set-up row, bind off all the sts.

Left Front

Cast on 31 sts with criss-cross method and work with squares pattern in the following way: 1 selvedge st, pattern repeat, the first 9 sts of pattern repeat x once, finish with 1 st of wrong-side pattern, 1 patent st and 1 selvedge st. Make arm-hole from the right side in the same way, as for back = 22 sts. In 95,5 cm = 210 rows from the set-up row, bind off 1 st from the left side for neck-hole and 5 x 1 st in every 8th row. For this, bind off both sts before patent st as purl2tog. Make shoulder chamfer from the right side in the same way, as for back. Bind off all the sts at the height of back.

Right Front

Make in symmetry to the left, but start in the following way: 1 selvedge st, 1 patent st, 1 st of wrong-side pattern, the last 9 sts of pattern repeat x once, pattern repeat, 1 selvedge st.

Sleeves

Cast on 36 sts and make 11 cm of rib, increase 2 sts in the last row = 38 sts. Then, work with the squares pattern. At the same time, increase 2 x 1 st in every 8th row and 8 x 1 st in every 6th row from both sides of rib for the sleeve chamfers = 58 sts, include the increased sts in the pattern. In 36,5 cm = 80 rows from rib, bind off 4 sts from both sides for the sleeve cap and 5 x 4 sts in every 2nd row. In 42 cm = 92 rows from rib, bind off the rest 10 sts.

Assembly

Make shoulder seams.

For collar, cast on 88 sts with circle knitting needles along the neck-hole chamfer from the WS and make 13 cm of rib, then, bind off the sts due to the ornament loosely.

For plackets, cast on 112 sts along the edges of front and work with rib, in 5 cm make button-hole on the right half of front. For this, in 63 cm from the lower edge, bind odd 2 sts and cast them on again in the next row. At 11 cm height of placket, bind off the sts due to the ornament.
