You’ll need:

2 skeins of 100% woolen yarn (250m/100g);

Knitting needles 3.

Instructions

Cast in 13 sts and make 8 cm of garter stitch. Then, start from the 9^th row, increase the sts in the following way: 1 selvage st, 5 sts of garter stitch, 1 yarn over, 1 knit st, 1 yarn over, 5 sts of garter stitch and finish with 1 selvage st. Make WS rows due to the ornament, yarn overs – as cross purl st. Make yarn overs in all the following RS rows, i.e, increase sts after garter stitch and before it. WS rows due to the ornament, yarn overs – as cross st. Repeat the rows until there are 39 sts on the knitting needle.

Then, mark the central 9 sts and make toe round in the same way, as heel: 15 sts, then, knit the 9^th and 10^th sts together. Turn your work, knit 8 sts, make the 9^th and 10^th sts together etc. until there are only the central 9 sts left on the knitting needle.

Cast on selvage sts from the edge of toe = 18 sts from each edge. There are 45 sts on the knitting needles. Divide them in the following way: 1 selvage st, 5 sts of garter stitch, 1 purl, 4 sts of “twist”, 1 purl, 21 sts of stockinette stitch. Then, 1 purl, 4 sts of “twist”, 1 purl, 5 sts of garter stitch, finish with 1 selvage st. Replace the sts in “twist” in every 4^th row: leave 2 sts in front of work on the auxiliary needle, 2 knit sts, 2 knit sts from the auxiliary needle. Make WS rows due to the ornament. Totally, 36-40 rows. Makeheelinthesameprinciple, astoe. Mark the central 9 sts. Make the last 8 rows with garter stitch. Bind off the sts. Decorate up to your liking.
