You’ll need:

2 skeins of Bernat Blanket yarn;

Crochet hook 9 mm.

Size: 7.5 womens (US) *also fits womens size 8.5.

Instructions

Rnd 1: SC 6 in magic circle (6sts)

Rnd 2: INC around (12)

Rnd 3: Inc, SC, around (18)

Rnds 4-12 SC around

ch 1, turn

Row 1: SC 12

ch 1, turn

Rows 2-12 repeat row 1

ch1, turn

SC 5, DEC the next 2 sts, SC 5

Slip stitch into the opposite corner (bringing the sides together) and SC around the slipper decreasing where the side of the slipper meets the top of the slipper (corner). Repeat at least once if you are not going to add contrasting color. (The slipper is not very deep unless you add at least 2 rounds of SC.) Fasten off at the last stitch, but leave a long tail to sew up the back, then weave it in.

Finishing

Slip stitch into the opposite corner (bringing the sides together) and SC around the slipper, decreasing where the side of the slipper meets the top. Fasten off on the last stitch, but leave a long tail to sew up the back, then weave it in.

If the slipper is too big, use a smaller (worsted/4) yarn to do a round or 2 of SC around the slipper, making sure to decrease in the corners again. You can also decrease on both sides of the heel if needed.
