Small Bag for a Small Girl
You’ll need:
50g of 100% cotton yarn;
Straight knitting needles 3;
Circle knitting needles 3;
Satin ribbon – 1 m.
Used Patterns
Stockinette stitch: in right-side rows – knit sts, in wrong-side rows – purls;
Relief pattern: due to the scheme;
Pattern for fastening: alternate knit2tog, 1 yarn over.
Stitches control: 25 sts = 10 cm.
Instructions
Make front and back parts as one-piece cloth. Cast on 49 sts with 2 threads yarn. Make 4 rows with stockinette stitch and 1 row of fastening. Then, turn to the relief pattern due to the scheme. After knitting 32 cm height, make 1 row of fastening. Then, 4 rows of stockinette stitch and bind off the sts. Cast on 204 sts for sides and handle and make 2 rows of stockinette stitch, then 1 row of fastening, 2 rows of stockinette stitch. Bind off the sts.
Assembly
Fold the cloth in half – see the scheme.
Sew sides, leave handle. Insert satin ribbon in the holes of the handle pattern and along the edge of bag. Tighten it and make a bow.
