You'll need:

250g of yarn (50% wool, 50% cashmere; 200m/50g);

Knitting needles 2,5;

Crochet hook 2;

1 button.

Size: 3-4 years.

Stockinette stitch: in right-side rows - knit sts, in wrong-side rows - purls;

1 x 1 rib;

Leaves - due to the scheme 1;

Chain - due to the scheme 2;

Instructions

Back

Cast on 142 sts and make 8 rows with "leaves" pattern. Then, turn to the stockinette stitch, make 2 rows. Make decrease of 20 sts in the 2nd row with equal intervals. There are 122 sts left. Then, turn to "chain" pattern and make 2 rows. After that, make full "hearts" pattern repeat. Make 2 rows of "chain" pattern.

Turn to relief pattern in the next row. Make your work with this pattern to 24 cm height, decreasing 41 sts in edging row.

There are 81 sts left.

Yoke

2 rows of "chain" pattern, 2 rows of stockinette stitch, then - ornament. After knitting 5 cm of yoke, for forming arm-holes, bind off 4 sts x 1 from both sides, then 2 sts x 1 in every 2nd row, 1 st x 2. After making yoke to 7 cm height, bind off the central st for the cut and finish each part separately. After knitting 7 cm of cut, bind off the sts. Finish the second part of back in the same way.

Front

Make in the same way, as back. The only difference is deeper neck-hole. It's made at the level of 8 cm from the bottom of yoke. After knitting yoke to the needed level, bind off the central 13 sts. Then, make each detail from separate ball. For smooth rounding, bind off 3 sts x 1, 2 sts x 1, 1 st x 3 in even rows along the neck-hole line.

Sleeves

Cast on 38 sts and make 3 cm of rib. In the edging row increase 13 sts. You should get 51 st. Turn to "chain" pattern. After making 2 rows, continue with "hearts" pattern, then, make 2 rows of "chain" pattern.

Then, make with relief pattern, increase 1 st x 11 in every 6 rows. Include all the sts in the common ornament. After knitting to 30 cm height from the set-up row, bind off 4 sts x 1 from both sides in a row, 2 sts x 8, 3 sts x 1, 4 sts x 1. Bind off the rest sts.

Make the second sleeve due to the same scheme.

Assembly

Sew shoulders, sides. Make sleeve seams and sew them in the arm-holes.

Fasten the neck-hole. Lift 98 sts and make 3 cm of rib. Bind off the sts. Make button-hole. Sew button.
