Crochet Snowman Bookmark

Materials:
- size 10 cro-sheen cotton thread
- small amounts of white, black, orange
- size 7 steel crochet hook
- Trimmings:
- 6- 5mm black pompons
- 2- 7mm moveable eyes
- tacky craft glue
Instructions:
With white, for large circle.
rnd 1: ch 4, join with sl st in first ch, 15sc in center of ring. join.
rnd 2: ch 1, sc in each sc around, join.
rnd 3: ch 1, sc in same ch1 sp. 2sc in each sc around, join. (30sc)
rnds 4 to 6 : ch 1, sc in each sc around, join. Fasten off. (leaving length of thread for sewing)
With white, for medium circle.
rnd 1: ch 4, join with sl st in first ch. 12sc in center of ring. join.
rnd 2: ch 1, sc in each sc around, join.
rnd 3: ch 1, sc in same ch1 sp, 2sc in each sc around. join. (24sc)
rnds 4&5: ch 1, sc in each sc around. join. fasten off. (leaving length of thread for sewing)
with white, for small circle.
rnd 1: ch 4, join with sl st in first ch, 10 sc in center of ring. join.
rnd 2: ch 1, sc in each sc around. join.
rnd 3: ch 1, sc in same ch1 sp, 2sc in each sc around. join (20sc)
rnd 4: ch 1, sc in each sc around. join. fasten off.
Hat Brim:
With black ch 10, turn.
rnd 1: ch1, sc in each sc across. Fasten off. (leaving length of thread for sewing)
Top of Hat:
rnd 1: Join with sl st to second sc, sc in next 5 sc, turn.
rnds 2&3: ch 1, sc in each sc across. Fasten off.
Finishing:
Step 1: Sew medium circle to large circle, sew small circle to medium circle. Sew hat to top of small circle.
Step2: attach white with sl st to center bottom of large circle, ch 80, attach end of ch to same st as beginning sl st.
Make tassel in center loop of ch.
Give the bookmark a light spray with stiffener.
Step 3: Referring to photo for placement, glue eyes to right side of head. With orange thread make a love knot in center of head for nose. With black thread make 4 love knots for mouth.
Step 4: Glue 6 pompons down front center of body for buttons. (or make 6 french knots down center .)
