  • Row 2 - Ch2 (not counted as a st), 2hdc in same sp as ch-2, 1hdc in each of the next 5-sts, (2hdc) in the ch-2 of prev row, turn. [9hdc]

  • Row 3 - Ch2 (not counted as a st), 1hdc in same sp as ch-2, 1hdc in each of the next 7-sts, 1hdc in the ch-2 of prev row, turn. [9hdc]

  • Row 4 - Ch2 (not counted as a st), 2hdc in same sp as ch-2, 1hdc in each of the next 7-sts, (2hdc) in the ch-2 of prev row, turn. [11hdc]

  • Round 1 - * Ch9, sl st into ring, rpt from * 5 more times, ch1, cut yarn and fasten off, weave in ends, and tack flower onto row 10 of cupcake. [6 x ch9 loops]

Bookmark Strap

  • Foundation, color C - Ch6, sl st into 1st st to join to form a ring.

  • Round 1, color C - ch3, then 6dc in the ring, 1tr, picot, 1tr, 6dc, sl st in top of 1st dc to join, ch60, sl st into the dc st at the top of the cupcake to join, ch1, cut yarn, fasten off and weave in ends.

Finish

  • Use a yarn needle to weave in the tail ends.
