Back
Using crochet hook 4 mm.
Chain 11
1st row: sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc to end. Turn.
2nd row: Ch 1, sc in BLO in each st across to end. Turn.
Repeat the 2nd row until ribbing measures 19(20.5, 22.5, 24.5, 27.5, 31) inches UNSTRETCHED
Now working into the top edge of ribbing:
Change to crochet hook 5 mm.
Next row: Ch 1, make 68(74, 84, 94, 108, 122) sc. Turn.
Next row: Ch 2 (counts as 1st hdc), *skip next st, sc in next, dc in skipped st, rep from * across ending with hdc in last st. Turn.
Rep last row until piece measures 13(13, 13, 13.5, 13.5, 14) inches
Arm-hole Shaping
Continuing on from where you are now, sl st into next 7(7, 9, 9, 11, 13) sts. Ch 2 in same space as your last sl st, *skip next st, sc in next, dc in skipped st, rep across until 7(7, 9, 9, 11, 13) sts remain. Hdc in next st. Leave remaining 6(6, 8, 8, 10, 12) unworked. Turn
Next row: Ch 2 (counts as 1st hdc, *skip next st, sc in next st, dc in skipped st, rep from * across, ending with a hdc in last st. Turn.
Repeat last row until armhole measures 7(7.5, 8, 8.5, 9, 9) inches.
Fasten off leaving a long tail.
Front
Make in the same way, as back.
Sleeves
Use crochet hook 4 mm.
Ch 11
1st row: sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc to end. Turn.
2nd row: Ch 1, sc in BLO in every st across. Turn
Repeat the 2nd row until sleeve cuff measures 9.5(9.5, 10, 10, 10.5, 10.5) inches UNSTRETCHED
Now working along the top edge of ribbed cuff:
Change to crochet hook 5 mm.
Next row: Ch 1, sc 30(30, 32, 32, 34, 36). Turn.
Next row: Ch 2, hdc in same st (increase made), *skip next st, sc in next, dc in skipped st, rep from * across, ending with 2hdc in last st (increase made. Turn
Next row: Ch 2 (counts as 1st hdc), *skip next st, sc in next, dc in skipped st, rep from * across ending with 1 hdc in last st. Turn
Rep last 2 rows until you have 54(58, 58, 60, 64, 68) sts. Turn.
Next row: Ch 2 (counts as 1st hdc) *skip next st, sc in next, dc in skipped st, rep from * across ending with 1 hdc in last st. Turn
Rep last row until entire sleeve measures 18(18, 18.5, 18.5, 18.5, 18.5) inches long.
Fasten off and leave a long tail.
Go ahead and make your second sleeve in the same way.
Collar
Crochet hook 4 mm.
Ch 47
1st row: sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc across to end. Turn
2nd row: Ch 1, sc in BLO across to end of row. Turn
Rep last row until collar measures 20 inches unstretched.
Assembly
Lay your front panel on top of back panel. Using your darning needle sew 4(4, 5, 5.5, 6, 6.5) inches across the top for each shoulder. Fasten off
Lay entire sweater out flat with wrong side facing upwards. Place a stitch marker into the middle st of a sleeve and then connect to the shoulder seam. Using darning needle sew sleeve to body of sweater. Rep on other side.
Next fold collar in half and sew up along to close. Then sew collar to neck hole with the collar seam facing towards back and still facing wrong side out.
