Knit Pullover with Cowl-Neck

You’ll need:

500 (550)g of Organico Lana Grossa yarn (100% bio cotton; 90m/50g);

Knitting needles 5;

Circular knitting needles 5 (60 cm long);

Crochet hook 4.

Size: S (M).

Used Patterns

Garter stitch: knit sts, in circle rows – 1 row of knit sts, 1 row of purls by turn;

Half-patent pattern: due to the scheme. WS rows are numbered from the left side, RS rows – from the right side. Start with sts before the first arrow in width, then, repeat the pattern of 2 sts between arrows, finish with sts after the second arrow. Make 1st-3rd rows x once, then, repeat 2nd-3rd rows.

Stitches control: 16 sts x 32 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions

Back

Cast on 71 (79) sts with knitting needles 5 and work with half-patent pattern. In 28 (30) cm = 89 (95) rows from the set-up row, place markers for arm-holes from both sides of the set-up row. At 8 (9) cm height = 26 (30) rows from markers, start working with garter stitch on the central st, make 1 knit st before and after the central st, crossed from broachings. Make these increases in every WS row and in every RS row before and after the previously increased sts, the collar becomes 2 cm wider. In 10 cm = 32 rows from the set-up row, the collar consists of 65 sts. Now, bind off 35 (39) sts from both sides for each shoulder, leave the sts of collar.

Front

Make in the same way, as back, start making collar on the central st at 1 (2) cm height = 4 (8) rows from arm-holes markers. In 17 cm = 54 rows from the beginning of work, the collar consists of 109 sts. Bind off the sts of shoulders at the same height, as for back, leave the sts of collar.

Sleeves

Cast on 53 sts with knitting needles 5. Work with half-patent pattern. For widening, increase 1 st in 14th (12th) row from both sides of the set-up row, then, 2 (4) x 1 st in every 16th (10th) row = 59 (63) sts. Include the new sts in half-patent pattern. In 20 cm = 65 rows from the set-up row, bind off all the sts.

Assembly

Make seams, sew sides from both sides till markers to 20 (22) cm. Transfer the previously left sts of collar to the circular knitting needles = 174 sts. For collar, make 4 cm of garter stitch with circle rows. Then, bind off the sts loosely. Make 1 circle row of single crochets, don’t tighten the edge. Sew up the sleeves in the arm-holes.
