​Relief Marine-Green Poncho

You’ll need:

4 skeins of marine-green yarn (70% super kid mohair, 30% silk; 210m/25g);

Crochet hooks 2,5 and 4,5.

Size: approx. 105 x 55 cm.

Used Patterns

1 chain of picots: 7 chain sts, 1 single crochet in the 1^st out of 7 chain sts.

Pom-pom: 6 chain sts, make 5 unfinished double crochets in the 3^rd chain st = 6 sts on the crochet hook, make yarn over and draw the yarn through all sts x once (= ½ pompom), make 3 chain sts, then, 5 unfinished double crochets in small loop, which connect sts in the front, yarn over and draw yarn through all sts (= ½ pompom). Fold 2 halves of pompom together and make 1 slip st in the same chain st, which the first half of pompom was made.

Instructions

Make 2 same details, then, connect them at shoulder, leave hole for neck-hole. Make 175 chain sts with crochet hook 4,5. After that, turn to crochet hook 2,5.

1^st row: turn your work with the help of 3 chain sts (= 1 double crochet), make 1 double crochet in every st = 175 sts;

2^nd row: * 7 chain sts, 3 picots, connect these picots, make 1 single crochet in the 7^th chain st from the beginning of row = st, located before chain of picots, 6 chain sts, skip 5 sts and make 1 single crochet in the next st*; repeat from * to * = 29 chains;

3^rd row: turn with the help of 5 chain sts * 7 chain sts, 3 picots together with 1 single crochet in the 7^th chain st, 6 chain sts, 1 single crochet between the 1^st and 2^nd picots of the next chain, 1 chain st, 1 single crochet between the 2^nd and 3^rd picots*’; repeat from * to *;

4^th row: make as the 3^rd row, chain sts between single crochets should be behind these 3 picots;

Repeat 3^rd and 4^th rows, totally, 16 rows.

Make the second detail in the same way. Connect the details from both sides at shoulder. Leave the central 7 chains open and sew 11 chains from both sides.

Side Edges

Make 13 double crochets behind every chain increase from both sides. Start from lower part from the left side. Fasten the yarn at the lower corner, 3 chain sts (= 1 double crochet), 12 double crochets in the same chain, 13 double crochets in every of the following chains increase. Make the second side in the same way.

Lower Edge

Work in 2 threads of yarn with crochet hook 4,5. Fasten the yarn in the lower corner of one of the details, * 1 single crochet, 2 chain sts, 1 pom-pom, 2 chain sts, 1 single crochet between the 1^st and 2^nd picots, 1 chain st, 1 single crochet between the 2^nd and 3^rd picots, 2 chain sts*; repeat from * to *.
