Crochet Marine Color Vest
You’ll need:
8 (8, 9, 9, 10, 10) skeins of 220 Sport by Cascade Yarns, 100% Peruvian Highland wool (164 yds/50g) in color 9420;
Crochet hooks 4 mm and 5 mm;
Yarn needle.
Size: XS (S, M, L, XL, 2XL).
Stitches control: 18 sts x 8 rows = 10 x 10 cm.
Used Patterns
Main pattern: Foundation row (RS): Ch 3, [1 dc, ch 1, 1 dc] in 5th ch from hook, skip next 2 ch, *[1 dc, ch 1, 1 dc] in next ch, skip next 2 ch; rep from * across, ending with [1 dc, ch 1, 1 dc] in next ch, skip next ch, dc 1 in last ch, turn.
Row 1: Ch 3, skip first 2 dc, *[1 dc, ch 1, 1 dc] in next ch-1 sp; rep from * across, ending with dc 1 in top of ch-3,turn.
Repeat the 1st row.

With larger hook, ch 82 (88, 94, 100, 106, 112).
Work even in openwork patt until piece measures approx 20 1/2" from beg, ending with a WS row. Do not ch 3. Turn.
Shape armholes
Sl st in first 13(16, 16, 19, 19, 22) sts, ch 3, work in patt across until 12(15, 15, 18, 18, 21)sts rem in row. Ch 3, turn, leaving rest of row unworked.
Work even in patt on 56 (56, 62, 62, 68, 68) sts until piece measures approx 29 (29, 29 1/2, 29 1/2, 30, 30)" from beg.
Fasten off.
Left Front
With larger hook, ch 61 (64, 67, 70, 73, 76).
Work even in openwork patt until piece measures approx 20 1/2" from beg, ending with a WS row. Do not ch 3. Turn.
Shape armhole
SI st in first 13 (16, 16, 19, 19, 22) sts, ch 3, cont patt across to end. Ch 3,turn.
Work even in patt on 47 (47, 50, 50, 53, 53) sts until piece measures approx 29 (29, 29 1/2, 29 1/2, 30, 30)" from beg.
Fasten off.
Right Front
Work as for left front, reversing all shaping.
Assembly
Sew shoulder seams, leaving center 30 sts at center back open for back neck. Sew side seams.
Body edging
With RS facing and smaller hook, join A with a si st to lower right side seam, ch 1.
Work 1 rnd sc evenly spaced along edges of garment, working 3 sc in each corner and sc2tog at the indentation of each armhole. Join with a si st to first sc. Work 1 rnd of rev sc. Fasten off.
Armhole edging
With RS facing and smaller hook, join A with a si st to upper side seam, ch 1.
Work same as body edging.
Weave in ends. Block.
