A: TURQUOISE 50
B: PURPLE 31
C: ROSE QUARTZ 16

CROCHET HOOK SIZE I / 5.5 mm
TAPESTRY NEEDLE

SIZE: 9” X 9”

ABBREVIATIONS:
Beg = beginning
Begdc = beginning double crochet
Ch/s = chain/s
Dc= double crochet
Hdc = half double crochet
Hk = hook
Lp/s = loop/s
Rep = repeat
Sc = single crochet
Sl St = slip stitch
St/s = stitch/es
Yo = yarn over
The Begdc can be replaced with 3 chains.

SPECIAL TECHNIQUES:
Changing Colors: To change color in last st of Row, complete last st until 2 lps left on hk, drop current color, pick up new color, yo and draw through both lps.

INSTRUCTIONS
NOTE – Change colors at the end of even numbered Rows unless otherwise indicated.
Row 1: With A – Ch 29, working in back bumps of chs, sc in 2nd ch from hk and in each ch to end, turn. (28 sc)
Row 2: Begdc in first st, dc in next 3 sts, [sc in next 4 sts, dc in next 4 sts] to end, ch 1, turn. (16 dc, 12 sc)
COLOR SEQUENCE
Work Rows 3 – 4 in Color B
Work Rows 5 – 6 in Color C.
Work Rows 3 – 4 in Color A.
Work Rows 5 – 6 in Color C.
Work Rows 3 – 4 in Color B.
Work Rows 5 – 6 in Color C.
Work Rows 3 – 4 in Color A.
Work Rows 5 – 6 in Color C.
Work Rows 3 – 4 in Color B.
Work Row 2 in Color A. Do not finish off.
Row 3: Sc in first st and in next 3 sts, [dc in next 4 chs, sc in next 4 chs] to end, ch 1, turn. (16 sc, 12 dc)
Row 4: Sc in first st and in next 3 sts, [dc in next 4 chs, sc in next 4 chs] to end, turn. (16 sc, 12 dc)
Row 5: Begdc in first st, dc in next 3 sts, [sc in next 4 sts, dc in next sts] to end, turn. (16 dc, 12 sc)
Row 6: Begdc in first st, dc in next 3 sts, [sc in next 4 sts, dc in next sts] to end, ch 1, turn. (16 dc, 12 sc)
You should have worked 21 rows. Continue to Row 22.
Row 22: Sc in first st and in each st to end, ch 1, turn. Do not change colors, continue to Border. (28 sc)
BORDER
Rnd. 1: Continuing with A – Ch 1, (sc ,hdc, sc) in first st, sc in next 26 sts,
(sc, hdc, sc) in last st of row.
Rotate cloth to work on vertical side, work 26 sc evenly across this side.
Rotate cloth to work on bottom of Row 1, (sc, hdc, sc) in first st, sc in next
26 sts, (sc, hdc, sc) in last st.
Rotate cloth to work on vertical side, work 26 sc evenly across this side, join
with sl st to beg sc.
Rnd. 2: Ch 1 (does not count as a st), hdc in same st, work 3 hdc in each corner hdc and 1 hdc in each sc around, join with sl st to beg hdc. Finish off. Weave in all ends.
