Materials:

Medium worsted weight/category 4 yarn (2 to 2.5 balls weighing 100 gm each)

H/5 mm crochet hook

Yarn needle

Size:

About 66 inches long and 8 inches wide

Stitches/Abbreviations Used:

[ ] - repeat instructions within brackets as a set as many times as directed

** - Repeat instructions within asterisks as many times as directed

st/sts - stitch/stitches

sc - single crochet

hdc - half double crochet

dc - double crochet

tr - treble

Custom size:

The initial chains are made in multiples of 16 + 2. If you want to increase length add chs in multiples of 16 to the initial chs.

To increase width, increase the number of repeats.

Instruction

Row 1:Ch 258, sc in 2nd ch from hook and in rest of the chs across. Turn. (257 sc)

Row 2:Ch 1, sc in 2 sts, **ch 1, skip next st, hdc in next st, ch 1, skip next st, dc in next st, [ch 1, skip next st, tr in next st] 2 times, ch 1, skip next st, dc in next st, ch 1, skip next st, hdc in next st, ch 1, skip next st, sc in next 3 sts** Repeat from ** to ** across finishing the row with sc in last 2 sts. Turn.

Row 3: Ch 1, sc in each st and in each ch-1 space across. Turn. (257 sc). Turn.
Row 4:Ch 4 (counts as tr), tr in next st, ch 1, skip next st, dc in next st, ch 1, skip next st, hdc in next st, ch 1, skip next st, **sc in next 3 sts, ch 1, skip next st, hdc in next st, ch 1, skip next st, dc in next st, [ch 1, skip next st, tr in next st] 2 times, ch 1, skip next st, dc in next st, ch 1, skip next st, hdc in next st, ch 1, skip next st** Repeat from ** to ** across finishing with tr in last 2 sts. Turn,

Row 5:Ch 1, sc in each st and in each ch-1 space across. Turn. (257 sc)
Repeat rows 2 to 5 until the desired width is reached. Fasten off and weave in the loose ends.
