​Relief Knit Poncho

You’ll need:

200g of light-yellow Cora yarn (60% Merino wool, 40% polyacryl; 85m/50g);

150g of the same yarn, but in melon color;

100g of the same yarn, but in light-green color;

200g of light-olive Colima yarn (80% royal mohair, 20% polyester; 100m/25g);

200g of mélange green Indra yarn (60% sheep wool, 30% polyacryl, 10% cotton; 60m/50g);

50g of golden Glitzer Gold und Silber yarn (65% polyester, 35% polyamide; 1000m/50g);

Long and short circle knitting needles 5.

Note: Colima + Glitzer = color A.

Used Patterns

Stockinette stitch: circle rows, knit sts;

Wrong-side: circle rows, purls;

Wavy pattern: the quantity of sts is multiple 19 + 1. Work due to the scheme 1, on which only odd circle rows are stated, make 8 even circle rows and yarn overs as knit sts. Repeat the pattern, finish with sts after pattern repeat. Make 1^st-8^th circle rows x once.

Relief pattern A: the quantity of sts is multiple 19. Make in the same way, as wavy pattern, but due to the scheme 2. Make 1^st-14^th circle rows x once.

Half-patent pattern:

1^st circle row: 1 knit st, 1 purl by turn;

2^nd circle row: * 1 st in the hole (1 knit st, insert the knitting needle 1 row lower), 1 purl*; repeat from * to *.

Repeat 1^st and 2^nd circle rows.

“Umbrella” pattern: the quantity of sts is multiple 19. Work due to the scheme 3, on which only odd circle rows are stated, make even circle rows and yarn overs as knit sts. Repeat the pattern. Make 1^st-12^th circle rows.

Relief pattern B: the quantity of sts is multiple 19. Make in the same way, as wavy pattern, but due to the scheme 4. Repeat 1^st-6^th circle rows x once.

Patterns order: 8 circle rows of wavy pattern and 2 circle rows of wrong-side pattern – light-green, 2 circle rows of knit sts, 2 circle rows of purls, 1 circle row of knit sts – melon, 14 circle rows of relief pattern A – light yellow, 4 circle rows of knit sts – color A, 1 circle row of purls, 6 circle rows of relief pattern B and 1 circle row of purls – mélange green, 14 circle row of half-patent pattern – color A, 3 circle rows of stockinette stitch and 12 circle rows of “umbrella” pattern – melon, 1 circle row of knit sts, 2 circle rows of purls, 6 circle rows of relief pattern B and 2 circle rows of purls – mélange green, 6 circle rows of relief pattern B and 2 circle rows of purls – color A, 14 circle rows of relief pattern A and 2 circle rows of purls – light-yellow, 6 circle rows of relief pattern B – mélange green and 3 circle rows of purls – light green = 114 circle rows.

Stitches control: 13,5 sts x 22 circle rows =10 х 10 cm.

Note: make as one-piece cloth from down to up.

Instructions

Cast on 346 sts with light-green yarn in criss-cross method and mark the 173^rd and 346^th sts (front and back middle sts). Circle the sts in a ring and make 1 circle row of knit sts after the set-up row. Then, work due to the stated order, start with pattern and divide the sts from the 1^st central st. Make 1 double broaching (slip 1 st to the middle st with it together as knit st, 1 knit st and draw it through both slipped sts) in every 2^nd circle row from the set-up row for better fitting. In 52 cm = 114 circle rows from the set-up row, bind off all the sts as purls, make 12 x 2 knit2tog.
