Knit Mint Cardigan

You’ll need:

900g of mint (# 05) Adelia Aria yarn (100% acryl; 100m/100g);

Circular knitting needles 5 of 80 cm (2 pairs) and 100 cm long.

Size: M-L.

Chest circumference: 92-96 cm.

Stitches control: garter stitch: 12 sts x 20 rows = 10 x 10 cm;

Stockinette stitch: 15 sts x 17 rows = 10 x 10 cm;

Relief pattern: 11 sts x 20 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions

For relief placket, cast on 211 sts with knitting needles 80 cm long. Continue work due to the scheme, make vertical pattern repeat x twice (10 cm = 20 rows). Turn to knitting needles 100 cm long and work in the following way: 1 selvage st, 88 sts of garter stitch (front), 2 knit sts (raglan line), 5 knit sts (sleeve), 2 knit sts (raglan line), 17 st sof garter stitch (back), 2 knit sts (raglan line), 5 knit sts (sleeve), 2 knit sts (raglan line), 88 sts of garter stitch (front), 1 selvage st. For raglan lines, increase 1 st after the 1^st raglan line from both sides of 2^nd and 3^rd raglan lines before the 4^th raglan line. Decrease sts of front in every RS row, by means of making knit2tog (1 st of raglan line and 1 st of front). Repeat increases and decreases x 19 times in every 2^nd RS row. After making 21 cm = 38 rows from the beginning of raglan lines, transfer sts to the auxiliary needle and leave 48 sts of each sleeve. Continue work in the following way: 131 sts from the beginning of row, make 132^nd and 133^rd sts together due to the pattern, turn your work to WS, knit 43 sts, make the 44^th and 45^th sts due to the pattern, turn your work again. Continue work until there is no sts left from right and left side of central sts.

Sleeves

Work with stockinette stitch around. For sleeve chamfers, decrease 1 st by turn in the beginning and in the end of every 5^th row. In 40 cm = 68 rows from the beginning of sleeve chamfers, continue work with 1 x 1 rib. After making 6 cm = 10 rows, bind off all the sts.
