You’ll need:

800 (800) 900g of white Nature-Wool yarn (100% wool; 160m/100g);

Straight and circular knitting needles 7;

7 buttons.

Size: S (M) L.

Used Patterns

Stockinette stitch: in RS row – knit sts, in WS row – purls;

Wrong-side pattern: in RS row – purls, in WS row – knit sts;

2 x 2 rib;

Pattern with cables (16 sts wide): due to the scheme, on which only RS rows are stated. Make WS rows due to the pattern, yarn overs as purls. Make 1st-2nd rows x 24 times, 3rd-24th rows x once. Repeat 13th-24th rows.

Stitches control: rib: 18 sts x 20 rows = 10 x 10 cm;

Pattern with cables: 17 sts x 20 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Back

Cast on 124 (132) 140 sts and make 1 WS row of knit sts, then, divide the sts between selvage sts in the following way: * 2 sts of stockinette stitch, 6 (7) 8 sts of wrong-side pattern, 16 sts of pattern with cables, 6 (7) 8 sts of wrong-side pattern*; repeat from * to * x 3 times, 2 sts of stockinette stitch. For better fitting, make 2 both first sts of every WS stripe as purl2tog in 8 cm from the set-up row = 116 (124) 132 sts. Repeat these decreases x twice in every 16th row and once in the next 12th row= 92 (100) 108 sts, making 2nd and 4th decreases instead of the first 2 sts and make both last sts of every stripe as purl2tog. In 50 (51) 52 cm from the set-up row, bind off 4 sts from both sides for arm-holes, 1 x 3 sts, 2 x 2 sts and 1 x 1 st in every 2nd row = 68 (76) 84 sts. In 70 (72,5) 75 cm from the set-up row, bind off all the sts. The central 24 (26) 28 sts form nelc-hole, 22 (25) 28 sts – shoulders.

Left Front

Cast on 64 (68) 72 sts and divide them between selvage sts in the following way: * 2 sts of stockinette stitch, 6 (7) 8 sts of wrong-side pattern, 16 sts of pattern with cables, 6 (7) 8 sts of wrong-side pattern*; repeat from * to * x once, 2 sts of stockinette stitch. Make decreases for better fitting and arm-hole in the same way, as for back = 36 (40) 44 sts. In 66 (68,5) 71 cm from the set-up row, bind off 8 (9) 10 sts for neck-hole from the left side, then, 1 x 4 sts and 1 x 2 sts ine every 2nd row. Bind off the rest 22 (25) 28 sts of shoulder at the height of back.

Right Front

Make in symmetry to the left front.

Sleeves

Cast on 46 (52) 58 sts and work with rib between selvage sts, start and finish with 1 (2) 1 knit st. For chamfers, increase 4 x 1 st in every 12th row from both sides, 2 x 1 st in every 10th row, 2 x 1 st in every 8th row, 2 x 1 st in every 6th row, include the increased sts in the pattern = 66 (72) 77 sts. In 52 cm from the set-up row, bind off 3 sts from both sides for sleeve caps and 1 x 3 sts, 2 x 2 sts, 1 x 3 sts and 2 x 4 sts in every 2nd row. In 59 cm from the set-up row, bind off the rest 24 (30) 36 sts.

Assembly

Make shoulder seams. Cast on 72 (76) 80 sts along the neck-hole for collar with circular knitting needles and work with rib between selvage sts, start and finish with 2 purls. At 14 cm height of the collar, bind off the sts due to the pattern. Sew up the sleeves. Make all the seams. Sew buttons.
