​Knit Mint Suit

You’ll need:

500g of mint color yarn (100% mercerized cotton; 330m/100g);

50g of the same yarn, but in black color;

Knitting needles 2,5;

Circular knitting needles 2,5;

Shirring.

Size: S.

Used Patterns

1 x 1 rib;

Main pattern: due to the scheme, on which only RS rows are stated. Make WS row as purls.

Piping: 1^st row: * 1 knit st, 1 purl*;

2^nd row: knit sts, slip purls yarn in front of work.

Repeat 2^nd row.

Stitches control: 27 sts x 34 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions

Pullover

Cast on 105 sts with black yarn and make 2 cm of 1 x 1 rib. Then, work with main pattern with mint yarn. At 41 cm height from rib, bind off 3 x 1 st in every row from both sides for arm-holes and then bind off 3 x 1 st in every 2^nd row. After that, knit straight for 11 cm. Then, bind off the central 40 sts for neck-hole and finish each side separately. For smooth rounding, bind off 1 x 1 st, 1 x 2 sts, 3 x 1 st in every row from inwards and then 1 x 1 st in every 2^nd row. Knit straight for 2 rows and bind off the rest sts of shoulder. Finish the second side in symmetry.

Front

Cast on 105 sts with black yarn and make 2 cm of 1 x 1 rib. Then, work straight for 12 cm with main pattern and mint yarn. Then, make pockets imitation. For this, make 31 sts of 1 x 1 rib with black yarn, 40 sts of main pattern with mint yarn and 31 sts of 1 x 1 rib with black yarn. Make 6 rows this way. Then, continue making all the sts with main pattern with mint yarn. Make arm-holes in the same way, as for back at the same height. After making decreases for arm-hole, knit 8 cm straight. Then, bind off the central 34 sts for neck-hole and then finish each side separately. For smooth rounding, bind off 1 x 1 st, 1 x 2 sts, 3 x 1 st, bind off 3 x 1 st in every 2^nd row and 1 x 1 st in every 3^rd row. Then, knit straight for 5 rows and bind off the rest sts of shoulder. Finish another part of neck-hole in symmetry.

Sleeves

Cast on 80 sts with black yarn, make 2 cm of 1 x 1 rib. Then, continue work with the main pattern with mint yarn for 12 rows, increase 1 st from both sides in sleeve chamfers in the 1^st, 3^rd, 5^th, 8^th, 11^th rows. Then, bind off the sts from both sides for sleeve caps in the following way: 1 st in the 1^st, 2^nd,3^rd, 5^th, 7^th, 9^th, 15^th, 19^th, 22^nd, 25^th, 28^th, 31^st, 33^rd, 35^th, 37^th, 39^th, 41^st-47^th rows, make 4^th, 6^th, 8^th, 10^th-14^th, 16^th, 17^th, 18^th, 20^th, 21^st, 23^rd, 24^th, 26^th, 27^th, 29^th, 30^th, 32^nd, 34^th, 36^th, 38^th, 40^th rows without decreases, bind off 2 sts in the 48^th, 49^th, 50^th rows, bind off 3 sts om the 51^st, 52^nd, 53^rd rows. Bind off the rest sts of sleeves in the 54^th row.

Assembly

Make shoulder seams. Cast on 192 sts along the neck-hole and work with 1 x 1 rib for 2 cm in circle rows. Bind off the sts. Sew up the sleeves in the arm-holes, make side and sleeve seams.

Skirt

Back

Cast on 120 sts with black yarn and make 2 cm of 1 x 1 rib. Then, work with the main pattern for 42 cm with mint yarn. Then, change to black yarn and make 2 cm of piping, then, bind off the sts.

Front

Make in the same way, as back.

Assembly

Make side seams. Insert shirring in the self-belt.
