​Knit Blue Pullover with V-shape Neck-Hole

You’ll need:

450 (500) 550g of turquoise Osiris yarn (35% cotton, 35% polyacryl, 30% viscose; 170m/50g);

Knitting needles 3,5;

Circular knitting needles 3.

Size: S-M (L) XL-XXL.

Used Patterns

Rib: * 1 purl, 2 knit sts, 1 purl*;

Relief pattern: the quantity of sts is multiple 10 + 4 + 2 selvage sts. Work due to the scheme, on which only RS rows are stated, make WS rows as sts face, yarn overs – as purls. Repeat the pattern, finish with sts after pattern repeat.

Repeat 1^st-8^th rows.

Special decreases from right side: make 2^nd and 3^rd sts together as broaching (slip 1 st, 1 knit st, draw it through the slipped st); from left side: 3^rd and 2^nd sts from the end as knit2tog.

Stitches control: 23,5 sts x 32 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Back

Cast on 126 (134) 146 sts and make 2 cm of rib for placket, then, work with relief pattern, increase 0 (2) 0 sts in the 1^st row = 126 (136) 146 sts. In 48 (50) 52 cm from placket, make purl2tog inside the pattern for yoke = 114 (123) 132 sts. In 53 (55) 57 cm from placket, bind off 1 x 4 sts from both sides for arm-hole and 1 x 3 sts, 2 x 2 sts, 3 (2) 1 x 1 st in every 2^nd row = 86 (97) 108 sts. In 18 (19) 20 cm from the beginning of arm-hole, bind off the central 36 (37) 36 sts for neck-hole and finish each side separately. For smooth rounding, bind off 1 x 3 sts and 2 x 1 st in every 2^nd row. In 2 cm from the beginning of neck-hole, bind off the rest 20 (25) 31 sts of shoulder.

Front

Make in the same way, as back, but with V-shape neck-hole. For this, bind off the central 2 (3) 2 sts with the beginning of arm-hole and finish each side separately. For chamfer, make special decreases x 14 times in every 2^nd row and 8 times in every 4^th row from both sides of neck-hole. Bind off the rest sts of shoulder at the height of back.

Sleeves

Cast on 86 (86) 94 sts and make 2 cm of rib for placket, then, work with relief pattern, increase 0 (0) 2 sts in the 1^st row = 86 (86) 96 sts. In 16 cm from the set-up row, bind off 1 x 4 sts for sleeve cap and 1 x 3 sts, 2 x 2 sts and 3 x 1 st in every 2^nd row, then, 5 x 1 st in every 4^th row and again 3 x 1 st, 1 x 2 sts, 1 x 3 sts in every 2^nd row. In 14 cm = 44 rows from the beginning of sleeve cap, bind off the rest 32 (32) 42 sts.

Assembly

Make shoulder seams. Cast on 131 sts along neck-hole with circular knitting needles and work with rib for placket in order to get 2 knit sts, 1 central knit st and 2 knit sts in the center of front. Slip the central st together with the previous st in every 2^nd row, 1 knit st, draw it through both slipped sts. Bind off all the sts as they face in 2 cm. Sew up the sleeves, make side and sleeve seams.
