​Nice White Jacket for Girl

You’ll need:

250g of white yarn (50% wool, 50% acryl; 392m/100g);

Knitting needles 2,5;

9 buttons.

Size: 3 years.

Used Patterns

2 x 2 rib;

Wrong-side pattern: in RS row – purls, in WS row – knit sts;

Main pattern: due to the scheme, make 3 sts of wrong-side pattern between them. Make WS rows as sts face.

Instructions

Back

Cast on 83 sts and make 16 rows with 1 x 1 rib. Then, work with the main pattern. At 70 rows height from rib, bind off 4 sts, 3 sts, 2 sts and 1^st in every 2^nd row from both sides. Continue work with relief pattern straight for 34 rows. Then, bind off 3 sts, 2 sts and 1 st in every 2^nd row for shoulder chamfer.

Left Front

Cast on 44 sts and make 16 rows with 1 x 1 rib. Increase 7 sts in the last row of rib = 51 sts. Then, work with the main pattern. At 70 rows height from rib, make arm-hole from the right side in the same way, as for back. Continue work with relief pattern for 26 rows. Then, bind off 10 sts, 4 sts, 3 sts, 2 sts and 3 x 1 st in every 2^nd row from left side. Bind off the rest 17 sts of shoulder at the height of back.

Right Front

Make in symmetry to the left front.

Sleeves

Cast on 36 sts and make 16 rows with 1 x 1 rib. Increase 4 sts in the last row of rib. Then, work with the main pattern, increase 1 st in every 10^th row for sleeve chamfers. At 25,5 cm height of sleeve, bind off all the sts.

Assembly

Make shoulder seams, sew up the sleeves, make side and sleeve seams. For front plackets, cast on 54 sts and make 9 rows of 1 x 1 rib. Make 8 button-loops on the right front. For neck-hole placket, cast on the sts along the neck-hole and short edges of front and work with 1 x 1 rib. Make 1 more button loop from the right side at 1 cm height. Sew buttons to the left front.
