​White Knit Vest for a Girl

You’ll need:

260g of thin 100% acryl yarn in bright-blue color;

Knitting needles 4 and 4,5.

Size: 4 years.

Used Patterns

1 x 1 rib. Make WS rows due to the ornament;

Double rib: work with 1 x 1 rib, in RS and WS rows – make knit sts, slip purls, leaving yarn in front of work;

Fancy pattern: due to the scheme.

Stitches control: 23 sts of fancy pattern with knitting needles 4,5 = 10 cm.

Note: knit in 2 threads of yarn.

Back

Cast on 78 sts with knitting needles 4 and make 3 cm of rib, increase 8 sts in the last WS row = 86 sts. Continue work with fancy pattern with knitting needles 4,5. At 39 cm height from rib, bind off 29 sts for each shoulder, 28 sts for neck-hole and finish your work.

Front

Make in the same way, as back. At 36 cm height from the beginning of work, bind off the central 12 sts for the neck-hole line, 4 sts from both sides of them, 2 x 1 st. At 42 cm height, bind off 29 sts for each shoulder and finish your work.

Sleeves

Cast on 40 sts with knitting needles 4 and make 3 cm of rib, increase 6 sts in the last WS row = 46 sts. Continue work due to the scheme with knitting needles 4, increase 8 x 1 st in every 6^th row from both sides, at 25 cm height from rib, bind off the sts loosely.

Assembly

Sew one shoulder. Lift 72 sts along the neck-hole line with knitting needles 4 and make 5 rows with rib, 2 rows with double rib and bind off all the sts. Make the rest seams and sew the sleeves in the arm-holes.
