​Crochet Baby Hat with Ears

You’ll need:

Lily Sugar n’ Cream (100% cotton);

Crochet hook 6 mm.

Instructions

4 chain sts in the ring, slip st.

1^st row: 8 half double crochets, slip st in the end of the row (in every row) (8 sts);

2^nd row: 2 chain sts increase, 2 half double crochets in every st, slip st (16 sts);

3^rd row: 2 chain sts increase, * 2 half double crochets in the 1^st st, 1 half double crochet in the next st*, slip st (24 sts);

4^th row: 2 chain sts increase, * 2 half double crochets, 1 half double crochet in the next 2 sts*, slip st (32 sts);

5^th row: 2 chain sts increase, * 2 half double crochets, 1 half double crochet in the next 3 sts*, slip st (40 sts);

6^th row: 2 chain sts increase, * 2 half double crochets, 1 half double crochet in the next 4 sts*, slip st (48 sts);

7^th row: 2 chain sts increase, * 2 half double crochets, 1 half double crochet in the next 5 sts*, slip st (56 sts);

8^th row: 2 chain sts increase, * 2 half double crochets, 1 half double crochet in the next 6 sts*, slip st (64 sts);

9^th-19^th rows: half double crochets in every st, slip st in the end of row (64);

Cut the yarn.

First Earflap

1^st row: 1 chain st increase, 10-18 slip sts, single crochets in the next 14 sts, chain sts, turn (14);

2^nd row: 2 single crochets for decrease, single crochets in the next 10 sts, the last 2 sts as single crochets together, turn (12);

3^rd row: 2 single crochets for decrease, single crochets in the next 8 sts, the last 2 sts as single crochets together, 1 chain st, turn (10);

4^th row: single crochets, 1 chain st, turn (10);

5^th row: 2 single crochets for decrease, single crochets in the next 6 sts, the last 2 sts as single crochets together, 1 chain st, turn (8);

6^th row: single crochets, 1 chain st, turn (8);

7^th row: 2 single crochets for decrease, single crochets in the next 4 sts, the last 2 sts as single crochets together, 1 chain st, turn (6);

8^th row: single crochets, 1 chain st, turn (6);

9^th row: 2 single crochets for decrease, single crochets in the next 2 sts, the last 2 sts as single crochets together, 1 chain st, turn (4);

10^th row: single crochets, 1 chain st, turn (4);

Make in the same way, as the first earflap.

Ears

2 chain sts.

1^st row: 5 half double crochets in the 2^nd st from the crochet hook (5);

2^nd row: 2 half double crochets around (10);

3^rd row: 2 half double crochets around (20);

4^th row: half double crochet, 2 half double crochets (30);

5^th row: half double crochet around (30);

6^th row: half double crochet, 2 half double crochets together (20);

7^th row: 2 half double crochets together (10);

Cut the yarn, sew to the hat.
