You’ll need:

2, 2, 2, 3 balls of Caron® Baby Cakes™ (3.5 oz/100 g; 231 yds/211 m) in Dreamy Mint (50013) color;

Knitting needles 4,5 mm;

Circular knitting needles 5 mm (40 cm long);

Double-pointed knitting needles 4,5 and 5 mm;

2 stitch holders;

Stitch markers.

Size:

To fit chest measurement: 6 mos: 43 cm, 12 mos: 45.5 cm, 18 mos: 48.5 cm, 24 mos: 53.5 cm.

Finished chest: 6 mos: 52 cm, 12 mos: 53.5 cm, 18 mos: 56 cm, 24 mos: 58.5 cm.

Stitches control: 18 sts x 24 rows = 10 x 10 cm with larger needles in stocking stitch.

Instructions

Yoke

Note: Pullover is worked in one piece from top down. Yoke is worked in rows then joined in the round after neck shaping. Body and sleeves are knit in rnds.

With A and larger circular needle, cast on 30 (36-36-42) sts. Do not join. Working back and forth in rows across needle to shape neck edge, proceed as follows:

1st row: (RS). K2. M1. PM. K1. PM. M1. K4 (6-6-8). M1. PM. K1. PM. M1. K14 (16-16-18). M1. PM. K1. PM. M1. K4 (6-6-8). M1. PM. K1. PM. M1. K2. 38 (44-44-50) sts.

2nd row: Purl.

3rd row: *Knit to next marker. M1. Slm. K1. Slm. M1. Rep from * 3 times more. Knit to end of row.

4th row: Purl. Rep last 2 rows twice more. 62 (68-68-74) sts.

Beg working in rnds.

1st rnd: Cast on 10 (12-12- 14) sts. K5 (6-6-7). PM for beg of rnd. *Knit to next marker. M1. Slm. K1. Slm. M1. Rep from * 3 times more. Knit to end of rnd. 80 (88-88-96) sts.

2nd rnd: Knit.

3rd rnd: *Knit to next marker. M1. Slm. K1. Slm. M1. Rep from * 3 times more. Knit to end of rnd.

Rep 2nd and and 3rd rnds 8 (8- 9-9) times more. 152 (160-168- 176) sts.

Work 1 (3-4-7) rnd(s) even.

Divide for Body and Sleeves

1st rnd: K22 (23-24-25). Slip next 32 (34-36-38) sts onto st holder for Left Sleeve. Cast on 2 sts. K44 (46-48-50) for Back. Slip next 32 (34-36-38) sts onto st holder for Right Sleeve. Cast on 2 sts. K22 (23-24-25). 92 (96-100-104) sts for Body.

Knit in rnds until work from dividing rnd measures 16.5 (19-20.5-21.5 cm.

Change to smaller circular needle.

Next rnd: *K1. P1.

Rep from * around. Rep last rnd of (K1. P1) ribbing 5 times more. Cast off in ribbing.

Sleeves

With set of larger double pointed needles, K32 (34-36-38) from st holder. Pick up and knit 2 under arm sts. Join in rnd. PM between picked up sts for beg of rnd. 34 (36-38-40) sts for Sleeve.

Knit in rnds, dec 1 st at beg and end of every following 9th (10th, 11th -12th) rnd 4 times. 26 (28- 30-32) sts.

Knit even in rnds until Sleeve from dividing rnd measures 18 (19-20.5-23) cm.

Change to smaller double pointed needles.

Work 4 rnds in (K1. P1) ribbing as given for Body. Cast off in ribbing.

Neck Ribbing

With smaller double-pointed needles and beg at back left shoulder seam, pick up and knit 52 (54-54-60) sts around neck opening. Join in rnd. PM on first st.

Next rnd: *K1. P1.

Rep from * around. Rep last rnd of (K1. P1) ribbing 5 times more. Cast off in ribbing.
