You’ll need:
3 skeins Yarn Bee Urban Chic Yarn in Gray (852 yards) – any light weight (3) yarn would work;
Yarn Bee Soft Secret yarn in mist (this is just for the edging, any gray yarn would work);
Crochet hook 5.00 mm;
Yarn needle;
Scissors.
Size: Pattern is written for S/M – changes for L/XL are written in [ ]

Row 1: dc in 5th ch from the hook (counts as dc + ch 1), *ch 1, skip one stitch, dc in next* repeat from * to * across (69 dc, 68 ch 1 spaces) [74 dc, 73 ch 1 spaces]
Row 2: ch 4 (counts as dc + ch 1), turn, dc in first ch 1 space *ch 1, dc in next ch 1 space* repeat from * to * across, dc in ch 4 space from previous round (69 dc, 68 ch 1 spaces) [74 dc, 73 ch 1 spaces]
Repeat row 2 to row 62 (rectangle should measure 38 inches long)
L/XL

Constructions
Fold the rectangle in half (bringing the top down so the rows are horizontal). Starting about halfway down from the fold, sew down both sides using a slip stitch, making sure to line up the rows evenly. The unsewn spaces at the top are the armholes. Fasten off, weave in the ends.
After it’s sewn, pull the top and bottom so the arm seams are running horizontal through the middle. This is how you wear the piece, you can see that it’s looking more sweater-like!
Sleeves
Join yarn to one of the armholes.
Row 1: ch 1, sc around the armhole, join to top of first sc with a sl st
Row 2: ch 4 (counts as dc + ch 1), skip one stitch, dc in next, *ch 1, skip one stitch, dc in next* repeat from * to * around, join to the 3rd chain in first ch 4 with sl st
NOTE: The next 5 rows will continually decrease
Row 3 – 7: ch 4 (counts as dc + ch 1), dc in next ch 1 space, *ch 1, dc in next ch 1 space* repeat from * to * around, skip the last ch space, join to the 3rd chain in first ch 4 with sl st
Change to gray yarn
Row 8 – 10: ch 1, sc in same stitch and in each dc and ch around, join to top of first sc with a sl st
Fasten off, weave in all the ends.
Repeat on other armhole.
Collar
Join gray yarn to outside border,
Row 1: ch 1, sc evenly around, join to the top of first sc with a sl st
Row 2: ch 2, hdc in each stitch around, join to top of first hdc with sl st
Fasten off, weave in the ends.
