The quantity of sts is multipled 8 sts +3 sts for the symmetry + 2 selvedge st.

1st row: 1 selvedge st, * 3 knit sts, 5 purls*; repeat from * to * to last 4 sts, 3 knit sts, 1 selvedge st;

2nd row: 1 selvedge st, * yarn over, 3 knit sts, slip yarn over from knitting needle through knitted sts, 5 knit sts*; repeat from * to *, yarn over, 3 knit sts, slip yarn over from knitting needle through knitted sts, 1 selvedge st;

3rd row: 1 selvedge st, * 3 knit sts, 5 purls*; repeat from * to * to 4 last sts, 3 knit sts, 1 selvedge st;

4th row: 1 selvedge st, * yarn over, 3 knit sts, slip yarn over from knitting needle through knitted sts, 5 knit sts*; repeat from * to * , yarn over, 3 knit sts, slip yarn over from knitting needle through knitted sts, 1 selvedge st;

5th row: 1 selvedge st, * 3 knit st, purl2tog, insert knitting needle in the next st 4 rows lower, draw long st, 1 knit st, draw long st from the same hole, purl2tog; repeat from * to * to 4 last st, 3 knit sts, 1 selvedge st;
