Houndstooth Crochet Stitch
All the rows for this pattern are stated on the scheme. Crochet first 3 rows with violet colour, and 4 next rows (they're stated red on the scheme) with light-green colour. Then repeat 1-7 rows.
Houndstooth Pattern
* 2 chain stitches, yarn over, insert the hook in first square and draw the stitch, repeat yarn over twice and draw the stitch. Then make yarn over and insert the hook in lower square (see the scheme) three times and draw the thread. Then, yarn over and insert hook in the third lower square, then in fourth, fifth. When all slipped sts from each square will be on the hook, draw the sts through all sts and fasten it with slip stitch. Make 3 chain sts and 3 double crochets.

This is NOT Hounds-tooth, and the instructions are very bad. Someone needs to verify these postings.
