Slipped Stitches Pattern
The quantity of sts is multipled 6 sts + 4 sts for the symmetry and 2 selvedge sts, which aren't mentioned in description. Slip the 1st selvedge st, knit the last selvedge st as purl.
Cast on 12 sts.
1st row: * 1knit, 2 purls*, 1 knit st, 2 purls, 1 knit st;
2nd and all the even rows: due to the ornament;
3rd row: as 1st row;
5th row: * skip first 3 sts, at the level of 4th st and go down, draw long st. Hang it before 1st knit st and knit together with the knit st. 2 purls, 1 knit st, 2 purls*, slip one more long st, knit it with the next st as knit, 2 purls, 1 knit st;
7th row: * skip 3 sts, and draw long st from the st, where you insert the needle, hang it on the left-hand needle and knit them together as knit st, 2 purls, 1 knit st, 2 purls*, knit the slipped st with the next st together as knit st, 2 purls, 1 knit;
9th row: make the same actions, that were described in rows 5 and 7. Use the same st for drawing long st;
11th row: * 1 knit st, 2 purls*, 1 knit st, 2 purls, 1 knit st;
13th row: * 1 knit st, 2 purls, return to the level of first knit st and go down draw long st. Hang it on the left-hand knitting needle and knit 2 sts together as knit st. 2 purls, * 1 knit st, 2 purls, draw long st and knit it with the next st together as knit st;
15th row: * 1 knit st, 2 purls, in analogy to the 13th row, draw long st and knit together with the next st as knit st, 2 purls*, 1 knit st, 2 purls, knit the slipped st together with the next st as knit st;
17th row: make in analogy to the 13th and 15th rows with drawn sts from one point.
19th row: * 1 knit st, 2 purls*, 1 knit st, 2 purls, 1 knit st.
Repeat from 5th to 20th rows to the needed height.
